• Visegrad Citadel - After being picked up from your accommodation by a private car or minibus, enjoy a one-hour drive to the renowned town of Visegrád, once the capital of Hungary and the residence of the Kings. Upon arrival, the vehicle is parked by the Danube River, and the journey continues into a dense forest filled with towering, ancient trees for a roughly 90-minute hike to the castle. This castle is perched on a high cliff directly above the river, offering stunning views. Witness Europe’s most famous river as it carves its path through the mountains! The hike involves an elevation gain of 230 meters over 3.5 km, culminating at the castle itself, where you can access and admire the panoramic views. There will be ample time to capture numerous photos and optionally explore the wax exhibition of feasting kings, as well as the museums dedicated to hunting and medieval weaponry.
