Perfect Day Boating around Santorini!! - Awesome! We loved our private catamaran ride! Our captain, Valentino, was the best! We loved our swimming stops and our lunch spread was delicious and a large variety! We highly recommend this trip and you must request Valentino as your guide! Enjoy!

The Best Day of Our Lives – Thanks to Ippokampos Sailing! - Truly the Best Day EVER!
We did a private cruise with Ippokampos Sailing for my partner’s birthday, and I genuinely don’t have enough words to describe how epic this was. There was a small hiccup in the booking (MY fault), but the amazing Irene literally saved the day—working late, staying in touch, and making sure every detail was in order. And then came the actual experience… Captain Valentino had THE perfect playlist, Spiros brought the laughs, Greek stories, and took amazing photos of us, and the chef (still dreaming about that food) served us an unforgettable meal.
It felt intimate, personalized, and absolutely magical. Sailing the Santorini coast with just us and that phenomenal crew? Unreal. It’s the kind of experience we’ll remember forever. I would book this again and again and again. Thanks to you all for making this an epic journey for us!

Book this company - This was the best boat experience ever. We’ve booked many private catamarans around the world (I.e, Korea, Thailand, Caribbean), but nothing compared to the amazing customer service and food provided by this company. The hostess was so warm and friendly, Captain Valentino was attentive and interested in making this experience the best, and Nikolaos was very helpful caring for the kids. This was the best spread we’ve ever had and the sites were captivating. If fortunate to ever come back, we will definitely book this company again! Thank you for the most amazing experience!

Wow what an amazing trip - Wow!!
What a fantastic experience we had.
Irene met us at the marina prior to setting off on the catamaran, which made us feel very comfortable and welcoming.
The crew members on the catamaran were so friendly and helpful, which made our trip amazing 🤩
The had had great knowledge of the island which was extremely enjoyable to listen to.
The food was delicious and we would happily take another trip with his company in a heartbeat. It exceeded way beyond our expectations.

Fun day trip - Just wanted to leave a little review for you to post.
We took a trip with Ippokampos sailing santorini I don’t often write reviews but I felt this one was deserved 😊 My party of Seven took a trip this week and it was absolutely fantastic! Professional, informative, fun, stunningly beautiful and the food was excellent 👌🏻. Even though it was a little bumpy on the way back it was still so much fun we laughed a lot. Wonderful family memories

Excellent Catamaran Trip - The trip, from booking, through transport to the port, the sail and return to hotel was all excellent. We booked through Irene at Kamari Beach and she was very helpful.
Especially when I "lost" my phone in the taxi, she helped me to be reunited with it within an hour.

Amazing Day! - Our cruise was beautiful! We were traveling with small children 18 months to 5 years and the crew was very patient and cute with them. We visited the red and white sand beaches, swam in the hot springs, snorkeled, and had an amazing meal. I would highly recommend this cruise! Thank you Valentino, Nicholas, and Alex.

Memorable, Relaxing and Would love to do it again - Great Crew (Valentino (Captain), Alex and Nicolas) + Great food + Great and super clean catamaran.
Flexible to adjust routes, full explanation on every site, hospitality is a top notch and the food was delicious.
Not only I recommend this but definitely will be my favorite catamaran anytime I come backnto Santorini.

Fantastic crew, otherwise so-so - I treated my husband to a private cruise aboard Valkyria, a charming Lagoon 380 catamaran that’s cuter than a puppy in a bowtie.
Booking & Schedule Changes
Two days before our trip, our booking was bumped forward by a day. This was fine, but considering I had booked two months in advance, I was surprised that the reason—a local holiday—was only brought up so late. Since it wasn’t a newly added holiday, it felt like something that should have been managed earlier. While we were flexible, it would have been nice to receive some acknowledgment for accommodating their schedule change.
Sailing Expectations vs. Reality
I specifically chose a sailboat because I wanted to experience sailing. Unfortunately, we ended up motoring the entire time. The reason given for not using the sails didn’t seem convincing, and given that I had booked well in advance and made my sailing expectations clear, I would have appreciated more transparency. If there had been a legitimate issue, they should have informed us ahead of time and given us the option to cancel. I also noticed other boats of a similar size and type sailing, suggesting that conditions were suitable. I wish I had asked written confirmation that the boat is in proper sailing condition and sailing would be included in a sailing tour. Once I realized we had been hoodwinked, I wanted my money back.
Port & Departure
The port was chaotic—boats jostling for space like a Black Friday sale. We waited about 25 minutes for Valkyria to dock, and our departure was about 15 minutes late due to other boats having priority. At least we were able to wait in the shade of the port’s only minimarket, so while this wasn’t ideal, it also wasn’t the company’s fault.
What They Did Well
• Clear Instructions & Punctual Transfers:
They sent detailed meeting point instructions near our hotel, complete with a picture of the exact spot. Our driver arrived precisely on time—and whisked us away in a luxury Mercedes van. The 25-minute drive from Firostefani to the port was smooth. At the port, our driver handed us off to Irene from Ippokampos, who guided us efficiently to the waiting area.
• Professional & Organized Crew:
Before departure, Irene gave us a thorough safety briefing on shore, followed by another from the captain onboard. The rules were simple and easy to follow.
• Immaculate Boat:
Valkyria was spotless and well-maintained.
• Fantastic Crew & Service:
The captain and sailor were delightful—polite, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Everything ran seamlessly: music options were great (or you could play your own), towels and snorkeling gear were neatly arranged, and even the fish seemed to show up on cue. Drinks flowed freely, and service was top-notch.
• The Food!
Lunch was an absolute highlight—a floating feast of deliciousness. We enjoyed salad, grilled chicken, grilled veggies, tzatziki, stuffed vine leaves, pasta with sauce, and more. As a gesture for the date change, we were offered baklava, which was divine. However, the lunch spot was a popular mooring area, so while the food was fantastic, the ambiance was more crowded and less peaceful.
Final Thoughts
We opted for sightseeing instead of swimming and chilling, but our tour ran exactly as everyone else's. For anyone interested in proper sightseeing and exploration, this tour it not the one to take. And if you truly want to sail, book somewhere else. For the ones who wants content for their social media feed, this is spot on. However, if I ever return to Santorini, I'll book someone else.
