Absolutely wonderful tour! - Great trip in a beautiful area! Eric, our guide, enthusiastically explained many things about bears along the way. At the top in a beautiful valley Eric spotted a bear and we stayed around for a while just observing it. Along the way spotted some red deer too. One of the best trips we ever had!

Bear-Watching with Eric - Great morning with Eric in Slovakia finding bears. It took us a while to find them but we ended up seeing two adult bears and watched them for an hour or so. It was a great experience and Eric was brilliant telling us all about the bears and was good at finding them. Definitely would recommend to a friend.

Awesome trip for hiking and wildlife lovers - Awesome. The walk was beautiful. We saw evidence of bears with hair stuck to trees they had been scratching against, and then saw a mother and two cubs. We also saw a number of beautiful deer and Chamois. Martin was really knowledgable and worked tirelessly to help us see some bears. Very happy.

We saw bears! - An excellent activity to do in the high tatras. We were due to go a day earlier but the weather was bad so was rescheduled. Erik picked us up from our hotel in Strbske pleso and after a short drive we parked up and headed up the trail into the forest. Very quickly we saw a brown bear just off the trail. Crouching down we watched the bear clawing a fallen tree long enough to get some video before it took off into the forest. We walked on into the valley and beyond with Erik giving us all the information on the bears and answering all our questions. Erik was just great, engaging with the adults and the youngsters and getting us all scanning the valley and hillsides for bears. Everyone loved it!

Bear trekking - Amazing trek to watch bears. Erik was a brilliant party leader, we hiked 14km total and spent an hour watching six bears on two hill sides at the top.
The scenery was amazing, like someone had planted the route. It’s a decent climb so go prepared, water, snacks, waterproofs and a jumper.
Thoroughly enjoyed it and would use Erik’s services again on one of his many trips.

Incredible experience - I had the amazing chance to join Erik in the field for this tour. As a wildlife photographer and conservationist I can guarentee you, that you can´t get a more intense and pure nature experience than going on a trip with Erik. His knowledge about the bears of High Tatra/ Slovakia is outstanding, he is always focused on the well-being of the group, makes many stops for interesting explanations and spotting the animals. On this tour you can see birds, deer, ibex and of course BEARS! We had the fortune to see a big male and a whole family of mama bear with her 3 cubs. Erik rounds up the whole nature experience with his kind character and knowledge. I can´t recommend this trip enough!
Go and see for yourself- you won´t regret it.

Beautiful nature and have seen bears at a safe distance - The area we hiked was beautiful. Our guide gave us a feeling of safety. Bears were a bit far away, but hey, that is nature. Its not something you can control. Would definitely recommend it.

Unforgettable experience – bear watching in Slovakia - We were very lucky to take part in a bear watching tour in the beautiful Slovak nature – and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience!
Our guide was not only extremely friendly and personable, but also very competent. We were particularly impressed by his respectful treatment of nature and wildlife. You can immediately feel that he cares about protecting European brown bears and that he shares his knowledge with great passion.
During the tour, we learned an incredible amount about the brown bears’ lifestyle, behaviour and habitat. In addition, we were very lucky with our bear sightings - 9 bears!
The tour was very well organized, safe and authentic – a real highlight for all nature and animal lovers! Absolutely recommend!

Big thanks for this wonderful experience ! - Our bear-watching experience was truly memorable ! Guided by the incredibly knowledgeable and friendly Erik, we embarked on an adventure filled with fascinating insights and captivating stories about these majestic creatures. His passion for wildlife made the journey even more engaging, as he shared tips on spotting and understanding bear behavior.
Despite the early season making sightings uncertain, we were fortunate enough to meet two bears along the road - an unforgettable moment that felt like pure luck! This experience was a beautiful reminder of nature’s wonders, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide to lead the way! 🐻✨

Watching bears in the wild - A beautiful day was waiting for us to watch the bears. It's great that the bears aren't fed here! That's why you can see them through binoculars Erik made available to everyone. The bears are so undisturbed and behave naturally, it was great.
The road to get there is rocky, literally, a basic fitness is required. Through the valley on enchanted, fairytale paths we reached the place, from where with a bit of luck you can also see bears. Our group was alone in the valley and it was beautiful. Erik has repeatedly drawn our attention to things on the way with his knowledge, has responded to all sorts of questions and was very attentive and friendly. A not entirely cheap but impressive experience!
