Great day out - Had a whole day at Waddesdon, grounds, afternoon tea, and house tour. All extremely good. Fabulous place, house is totally fantastic. We enjoyed a great afternoon tea. All staff were friendly, helpful from booking in, shuttle bus etc., would certainly recommend. If only all guests could be polite though, one very rude lady demanding lunch, was politely dealt with by staff!

Best day out in ages - Had a lovely day looking round the manor and walking round the grounds, we ordered a picnic and it was the most amazing picnic we have ever had it was like an afternoon tea in a box. Such good value all the staff all had masks and felt very covid safe. Worth visiting the elephants they looked so life like. The whole place is so well kept and it was a lovely walk to and from the Manor

Excellent day out - We were able to walk through the beautiful parkland from the Five Arrows hotel at the gates of the Manor (where we were staying). We stayed all day enjoying the gardens, the aviary and a short ground floor tour of the manor. Good coffee was available from the Stables cafe ; we had some quality sandwiches from another food location and sat on the Manor terrace with a great view of the park. The main shop stocked an excellent selection of gifts and of course wine. We look forward to visiting again.

A must to visit - The house is amazing, very like biltmore house in NC. Staff were very knowledgeable. Filming had finished not too long ago, half ground floor was in winter mode and half in summer mode.

Lovely day, but take a picnic! - Loved the tour of the house as in each room there was a helpful guide to give you great information! Eating places were a disaster with no soup, sandwiches or savouries left at 14:00; we were sent to The Stables where the same story was relayed to us.

Boring Visit - Our first encounter with the staff at this property was at the kiosk. A very rude guy checked our National Trust Cards. The house was full of dark rooms. There was a lack of information and the guides were not engaging with the public. All in all a disappointing visit.

Beautiful house and grounds ghastly customer experience - We have been national trust members all our married lives and as locals have used waddesdon for days out with our children, visits with friends abroad, dog walking and so on.. Today we arrived via our usual route (we always carry our members cards on us) and a turnstile had been installed with a simple sign asking us to scan a QR code. Quite rightly we attempted to scan our membership cards but no entry! Instead we had to walk back to the car park (completely out of our way given we had walked in across the fields) queue up at the ticket office only to be given another bar code! This was not just us a young family had walked up to the turnstile with small children they also had to turn around and go back! You are left feeling you should not be visiting the place! Cafes serving awful food and with little choice. This place used to be just wonderful now it feels restrictive, unwelcoming and paints an image of wanting to charge for everything (paying for the bus is another issue!) I am sure visitor numbers will fall this is not the place it used to be which is a shame indeed!

Not a jewel in the NT crown at all - mediocre at best - This is definitely run as a purely commercial Rothschild enterprise firstly and an NT property a distant second. I have never seen a smaller NT shop for the size of property and such a large high class wine cellar. The house is a waste of time - no interesting information - no stories - disengaged volunteers who don't interact. The NT cafe is down a steep hill from the property itself and it's the best part of a mile walk from the car park to the house. I will not be visiting again in a hurry as there are far better NT properties locally such as Cliveden and it's not a patch on Hughenden. The best part was the aviary.

Beautiful house and grounds ghastly customer experience - We have been national trust members all our married lives and as locals have used waddesdon for days out with our children, visits with friends abroad, dog walking and so on.. Today we arrived and queues for coffee outside the shop were very very long. When we enquired about having coffee and lunch using the restaurant (but sitting outside we are told they were too busy even through the restaurant was half empty.) if you are a dog owner it’s impossible to access the restaurant as you have to go through the shop which is not dog friendly. This place used to be just wonderful now it feels restrictive, unwelcoming and paints an image of not actually being interested in the customer experience. From talking to people paying for the bus is another issue!) this is not the place it used to be!
