- Petra - The tour will commence with a gathering at the hotel lobby or a specified meeting point if the hotel is outside the area. The journey begins with a 6km walk along the main trail from the Petra Visitor Center, passing through the Siq to reach the Treasury. Following this, there will be a hike up a mountain to enjoy a panoramic view of the theater, and visits to the Royal Tombs, Colonnaded Street, and Qasr Al-Bint. This segment of the tour usually lasts about 3 hours, depending on the pace, with a minimum duration of 2.5 hours.
Please be aware that climbing to the Monastery is not part of this itinerary. However, a visit can be discussed towards the end of the tour. To visit the Monastery, one must climb 850 steps. Alternatively, returning to the Visitor Center via the main trail takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
For those who prefer not to walk back to the Visitor Center, optional golf carts are available from the tour’s endpoint to the Visitor Center for a fee of 25 JOD per person.

Awesome - It involves a lot of walking but horses and golf carts are available when needed. Bassil is knowledgeable about the history and went out of his way to help my disabled husband.

Petra made easy - Bassil contacted me before the meet and met us on time in our hotel reception. He took us into the site and explained lots of history as we walked through the site. Also explained other things to do for the rest of the day and where exactly to find access to these. So after he left us we trekked to the monastery and then to the sacrifice point. We did most of the site in 8 hours. Not to he missed and this was a great way to do this with a guide for the first half and then take your time finishing off the site.

Wonderful Experience - Bassil was wonderful. He made contact the day prior to confirm our tour.
He had a wealth of knowledge about Petra and made great recommendations and helped me plan what to see outside of the tour. Definitely hike to the high alter if you want spectacular views.

Solo Female Traveler on my first trip to Jordan 😍 - I'll start my review by stating that I am a solo female traveler from the United States on my first trip to Jordan. I was a little nervous about visiting, especially with the political state of Gaza.....but it was SO SAFE and everyone was very friendly and helpful! Bassil was WONDERFUL, even picking me up from a hotel outside of the usual radius! He provided so much knowledge about Petra and took amazing photos for me! Not only is he a great guide, but a wonderful person and so fun to talk to! I was on limited time and Bassil made sure I saw the important things before I had to catch a taxi to the airport. 100% reccomend Bassil, best Petra guide!

Private tour in Petra - We had a great tour with Bassil! He was very knowledgeable about the history. We only had a short period of time to visit and felt like he gave us great highlights and history! We walked away feeling like we had a great visit!

Fantastic trip - Bassil was fantastic, very welcoming and informative. We had an amazing tour and wished we had booked for longer, although we still managed to see and learn so much in 3 hours. Bassil was very helpful in terms of guiding us on how to use the rest of our time in Petra. Bassil has been doing tours for many years and takes great photos for you.
The place is absolutely stunning and Jordan feels so safe.

Good tour guide for Petra - My wife and I enjoyed our guided tour of Petra with Bassil. Bassil was friendly and informative and took us on a good route beyond the Treasury that provided sweeping views especially of the theater. At the conclusion of the tour, he showed us where to catch a free shuttle bus back to the parking lot at the visitor center, which was appreciated.
