Subsequently, a high-speed ferry journey across the Gulf of Aqaba brings us to Jordan’s port (an approximately 45 min journey). After swift passport checks, a waiting guide will lead the further journey. A bus tour through the picturesque Wadi Rum desert (lasting about 2 hours) ushers in the arrival at Petra.
In Petra, landmarks like the Al Khazneh treasury — a structure entirely hewn from rock —, a historic amphitheater, tombs, temples, and antiquarian houses, are on display.
The complete one-way tour spans 3km.
Post-tour, lunch is served at a nearby local restaurant (buffet styled). Drinks incur an additional cost.
The return to Sharm el Sheikh is usually around midnight.
