Wadi Rum Village - Wadi Rum Village - Meet at the Rest House in Wadi Rum Village, the first location on the right upon entering the village. Nearby, find a supermarket, a souvenir shop, and our office just around the corner. Once all guests are gathered and greeted by the guide, the jeep tour begins, typically around 10:00.
Lawrence’s Spring - Lawrence Spring - This natural water source, with refreshing water cascading down the mountains, is a favorite spot for camels! With small trees and vibrant green moss, it is a true oasis. Relax here as the Bedouins and their herds once did, and watch herds of camels seeking fresh water. Alternatively, climb the mountain for spectacular views and numerous Thamudic inscriptions.
Jebel Khazali - Khazali Canyon - From the outside, it appears as an ordinary mountain, but entering the canyon between the split mountains is like traveling back in time. Discover traces of merchants traveling with caravans from Egypt to Damascus, and pilgrims passing through to Mecca. Observe fascinating Thamudic, Nabatean, and Islamic inscriptions, along with petroglyphs of humans, animals, and footprints. A series of basins can be found at the back.
Wadi Rum Protected Area - Red Sand Dune - This is the most renowned sand dune in Wadi Rum, known for its red hue due to high iron oxide content. Though it seems like a simple climb, the soft sand makes it challenging for tourists, providing entertainment for locals. At the top, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of the valley. Descend by running or sandboarding for added fun.
Wadi Rum Protected Area - Little Bridge - Over years of severe weather, this natural Little Bridge formed on a rock formation in the Khor El Ajram area. Named Little Bridge for its modest height, it is easy to climb, offering stunning views and appearing large and impressive in photos. Ideal for families with children and those preferring not to climb too high. Upon descent, enjoy a cup of sweet tea in the Bedouin tent, where souvenirs are available, or relax and mingle with locals.
Wadi Rum Protected Area - Umm Fruth Rock Bridge - Standing 15 meters high, this is the most famous bridge in Wadi Rum. Though not a historical site, it is perfect for capturing enviable photos. Hand your phone or camera to your guide, who will remain on the ground to take an impressive photo of you atop the bridge. Locals navigate the bridge with ease, but tourists find it more challenging, hence small holes have been made to facilitate the climb.
Wadi Rum Protected Area - Traditional Bedouin Lunch - Enjoy a delicious traditional lunch prepared by your guide at a scenic spot. The menu varies daily, featuring warm meals with vegetables, bread, hummus, yogurt, and other local delights. While the meal is being prepared, explore the area with a hike or relax and take in the Wadi Rum landscape.
Wadi Rum Protected Area - Abu Khashaba Canyon - Stretch your legs with a pleasant walk in this deep, narrow valley, surrounded by towering mountain walls. The lush greenery contrasts beautifully with the red desert sand. Discover various trees and plants, and listen to the birds chirping. Locals have hung bottles to collect rainwater for the birds. This peaceful oasis offers a 30 to 45-minute walk, with your guide picking you up on the other side.
Lawrence’s House - Lawrence’s House - This site holds historical significance in Wadi Rum. The Nabateans established it over 2000 years ago as a stop for passing caravans. Later, it became known as Lawrence’s House, as T.E. Lawrence, from “Lawrence of Arabia,” was based here. After a short climb, be amazed by the numerous stone piles. In the past, Bedouins stacked stones as road markers. Enjoy expansive views of the desert plain, perfect for photography.
Wadi Rum Protected Area - White Desert - While Wadi Rum is famous for its red sand, further south lies the white desert, offering a different world. Less frequented by tourists, it boasts more flora and wildlife. Standing in the white sand, observe the transition to the red part in the distance. Notice differences in the landscape, rock formations, and even the sand itself.
Wadi Rum Protected Area - Mushroom Rock - Wadi Rum features many famous rock formations with unusual and sometimes humorous shapes. The Mushroom-shaped rock owes its form to years of erosion, with the lower part eroding faster than the upper part. Mushroom Rock is a fun spot for photos and offers shelter. Bedouins used such formations for shade after long desert walks.
Wadi Rum Protected Area - Burdah Rock Bridge - Atop Jabal Burdah is one of the world’s highest natural rock bridges. During the jeep tour, stop nearby to admire the bridge from a distance. The climb to the bridge takes up to 4 hours and is not included in the jeep tour but can be booked separately as a hiking tour or upon request.
Wadi Rum Protected Area - Sunset Viewpoint - Wadi Rum is renowned for its breathtaking sunsets, and we know the best spots to watch them! Visit a secluded area to overlook the expansive landscape as the sun sets, while we prepare sweet Bedouin tea on the fire. Sit on a mattress or in the sand and soak in the surrounding beauty.
