• Waitomo Glowworm Caves - The glowworm, Arachnocampa Luminosa, is native to New Zealand. Thousands of these tiny creatures emit their distinctive luminescent glow while an expert guide shares insights into the cave’s historical and geological importance. The caves, formed over 30 million years ago, consist of two levels. The upper level is dry and includes the entrance and formations known as the Catacombs. The lower level features stream passages and the Cathedral. Visitors can walk from the upper level to enjoy a 45-minute boat journey through the starry wonderland of the Glowworm Grotto. The majestic Cathedral Cove, renowned for its acoustics, is also part of the tour.

The return journey passes through the Waikato farming region, offering views of various animals along the way, and partially follows New Zealand’s longest river.

Drop off: The trip concludes at your hotel or cruise ship between 6:00 pm and 6:30 pm, depending on weather and traffic conditions.
