Love Black History - Very informational, loved that the Whitney Plantation is a non-profit, self guided tour was great to go at your own pace. Our driver, Regina, was very nice and got us there and back promptly and safely.

CAJUN EXCURSION: WHITNEY PLANTATION (With Kirk and Helise) - So many things to say! 1. Getting there with KIRK! He is so charming, down to earth, professional and informative. Throughout the ride he provided bits of information on New Orleans as we passed by areas. Thank you Kirk! 2. Whitney plantation was beautiful, thoughtfully curated and gave true history through the eyes and experiences of enslaved people. I cried. It was about 1.5 of touring the place. I’d like maybe another 30 minutes but that’s okay. You certainly can do it in the time given by Cajun Excursions, just move a little faster than my husband and I haha. 3. Helise was our booking agent AT the office of Cajun Excursions in NoLa. She was so easy to work with. Fun and excited about the things offered and not pushy at all!! Great job Cajun Excursions! We are excited for our tour tomorrow for the Swamp Tour with you!

Great way to experience history - Cornell was a great guide. He gave us great information and interspersed it with humor. We learned so much at Whitney Plantation. I wish we had a little more time to look at everything, but most people on our tour finished in time. The bus ride was also comfortable and saved us the frustration of having to navigate to the Plantation on our own.

Visited the Whitney Plantation in April - Our guide, Kirk, was wonderful… very comfortable speaking about New Orleans and pointing out many landmarks along the way as well as giving great restaurant recommendations. I did have an issue with the amount of time we had at the plantation… an hour and 15 minutes wasn’t long enough. Also, the bus needs new shocks STAT!

Whitney Plantation April 2026 - The bus ride was very bumpy. The amount of time we had at the plantation was about 20 minutes too short. I didn’t have time to do all the tour stops.
