This 4-hour 4x4 adventure tour is tailored for clients arriving by passenger liner. Guests will be greeted and picked up at the Walvis Bay port where their cruise ship docks. Before venturing to Sandwich Harbour, the tour makes a stop at the Walvis Bay Lagoon to admire the flamingos and occasionally a great white pelican, followed by a visit to the Walvis Bay Salt Refiners with its pink salt lakes. The journey then continues to the Namib Desert - Sandwich Harbour, one of Southern Africa’s most unique and rich wetlands. Nestled between the sea and dunes, the tour proceeds “if tides permit”; if not, guests can enjoy dune surfing up to various lookout points. Ample time is provided to explore and capture photographs. Finally, enjoy a light picnic lunch with cold beverages against a natural desert backdrop, then experience more excitement on the dunes before concluding the adventure at the Kuiseb River Delta, a dry riverbed where springbok, oryx, or even ostrich can occasionally be spotted.
