Red Dunes won’t disappoint! - Having booked the day some months in advance we were looking to the experience. We arrived at the rendezvous early and JP our guide and host for the day was already there ready and waiting which is always a good sign. JP didn’t disappoint, he is a knowledgeable, polite and enthusiastic ambassador. We saw all we could of wished and would thoroughly recommend JP’s and Red Dunes services for a private guiding experience in and around Walvis Bay.

The Perfect Trip - What an excellent adventure! Clean well maintained vehicle, our driver was knowledgeable and fun, and a very experienced driver. The picnic lunch was very tasty, including the flamingo eggs (like I say, he was a lot of fun!). This trip was a huge highlight of our cruise. We felt like the only people in the world, even though there were lots of others taking tours, he found us quiet places to explore and we even got a mini safari on the way home seeing lots of wildlife. Dune surfing is a once in a lifetime experience. I am proud to say although I whimpered and gasped a lot on some of the steep descents and climbs I didn't scream!! I would thoroughly recommend these guys, we had a much fuller day than the trip organised by the ship. All in all an amazing day ✨️

Great way to see this stunning country - We did two tours with Red Dune safaris, THe full day Sandwich Harbour and Pelican Point and also the Walvis Bay shore excursion. The communication with JP was excellent and the tours themselves were spectacular. Namibia has such incredible scenery. The vehicles both days were comfortable and our two guides, JP and Martin both were knowledgeable and friendly. The lunch provided for the full day tour was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

This trip is the best way to discover Walvis Bay highligths - We spend a wonderful day with JP. He is a very competent guide who showed us many things, explained a lot, answered any question and ensured that the day was a great experience for us. In case we will be again in Walvis Bay for sure we will book our next trip at Red Dune Safaris Nambia again.

Our second trip with JP - even better! - JP is the secret sauce here. You will find a lot of other visitors ... but JP makes sure you do not feel crowded. He is full of history and genuine love for the place. He is a magician surfing the dunes! This is my second time booking his service and he still managed to surprise us and make us feel special. Between the mist and the deep blue sea - We booked the Ocean & Desert Combo Tour. We were lucky to get a seal, as well as a pelican on board. We also saw whales and dolphins. The staff of the Silverstar Catamaran was very friendly and the oysters were delicious. The humour of Steven was also nice. Just ask him where the whale is and he will answer : "in the water". The 4x4 excursion to Sandwich harbour with Maarten was also great. The mist gave another feeling of the dunes.

All day trip to Sandwich Harbour and Pelican Point. - We had a fantastic time with JP. He was informative and made sure we were well looked after. We saw geckos, flamingoes, black back jackals, whales next to the beach, ostriches, etc etc and beautiful landscapes and viewpoints . We had a lovely lunch at the bottom of the sand dunes all alone with no outside noise. bliss! Thanks JP!
