A light lunch and drinks are provided. The tour uses modern, unsinkable kayaks that are user-friendly and do not capsize. Each participant is equipped with a life jacket, and the guide offers instruction on kayak use. No prior experience is necessary.
The adventure continues with an unforgettable Dune Tour, a highlight of any visit to Namibia. The tour explores the area where the dunes meet the sea, a stark yet serene landscape that is ever-changing. Participants can witness incredible wildlife and thousands of seabirds thriving in these harsh conditions. The tour includes thrilling drives up towering dunes to breathtaking viewpoints, all led by skilled and knowledgeable guides.
Participants will also see thousands of pink flamingos and pelicans in the Ramsar Walvis Bay Wetland. Along the route, the largest evaporation pond salt mine in Africa, with its distinctive pink salt waters, is also visible.

The best day in Namibia - Amazing experience in both activities with an excellent guide Stephan who was fun, knowledgeable about everything you can imagine, and an amazing driver in the dunes! Don't miss this.. It is worth coming to Namibia only for this day!

Great day at pelican point and sandwich harbour - Great day with our guide Volker. The whole family loved it. We highly recommend. See the sea lions up close and the walk in the mythical dunes was unforgettable

Seals + Dunes = Cute + Fun - We had an awesome seal kayak and sandwich harbour tour with Volker. He did a great job of telling us about the seals and, more importantly, was an amazing driver for the dunes when we went to sandwich harbour. “The 4x4ing in the dunes was super cool, Volker scared my sister driving off of the dunes! Make sure you hold on tight!” said the 9 year old in our group. A great way to spend a day in Swakop!
The seal kayaking is just that, kayaking amongst the seals, and was a lot of fun (and minimal paddling effort). Snacks after kayaking and on the dunes after dropping off a few precipices were excellent and there were beverages for every taste. A really great day for all!

Great excursion with super guide - ES was great. We had a lot of fun with the really many sea lions. Also the drive to Sandwich Harbour was very nice. Volker is a great guide and very good driver.

Must-do day tour with amazing guides! - What an amazing experience! My siblings and I were accompanied by the best, the most passionate, energetic and most hilarious guide Stephan. He really made this a day to remember. Full of knowledge, he shared lots of interesting facts and stories about the area. He had the perfect balans between being adventurous and a little daredevil, and being a carefull, skilled driver. Which made the tour that much more exhilarating! The breakfast, lunch and little souvenir we got, were what made this tour perfect. I really recommend doing this extended day-tour, this way you really get a feeling of the area. Something you just can’t explain in words. Stephan took excellent care of us and was the perfect guide. Thanks a lot Stephan! Thank god you’re not a muppet ;)

Excellent, entertaining tour of Sandwish Harbour & Walvisbaai! - It was a great experience with our entertaining guides Stephan & Volker! They had a lot of knowledge about the area and shared it with us with a good portion of humor. It was really an excillerating experience to drive through the dunes. The breakfast and lunch we got served, was also very enjoyable. All in all a not to miss experience when you visit Walvisbaai and Sandwish Harbour. This comprehensive tour includes everything you need to get an idea of the area. Highly recommended!

Great trip - Volker (and Stefan) gave my husband and I a fantastic kayaking experience, tour of Walvis Bay and the Sandwich Bay dunes. A very friendly and informative trip, excellent attention to detail and lots of fun. Whilst the thick fog prevented us from actually seeing Sandwich Harbour, perhaps this made the dune driving even more unexpected and exhilarating?!! Lizzy & Chris

A day full of unforgettable experiences - The tour was an absolutely unique experience that I would book again at any time! The pink salt lakes are not only beautiful, but also totally exciting to see if you have never experienced them before.
Huge praise goes to our tour guide Volker! He provided us with a lot of interesting information, was super entertaining and created a really good mood with his funny and likeable nature. I really couldn't have asked for a better guide.
A real ES highlight was seeing the seals up close. Paddle past them by kayak was simply breathtaking – they are not shy at all, even sometimes jump on the kayak and stay with you for a short time. An experience I won't forget anytime soon!
The 4x4 ride through the dunes was also huge fun. ES goes up and down steeply – pure adrenaline! And then you come to Sandwich Harbour... this view is just indescribably beautiful and definitely a must-see!!

An unforgettable experience – highly recommended! - This tour was one of the highlights of our trip through Namibia – an experience not to be missed!
The first part of the tour took us to the seals. Seeing them so close and in their natural environment was just gigantic. You really get up close to the animals – a unique moment that we will not soon forget.
But that was far from all: Afterwards, we went into the dunes in the off-road vehicle – and not comfortably, but really action-packed! Steep descents with a gradient of up to 45 degrees, rapid maneuvers through the sandy landscape – not for the faint-hearted, but incredibly exciting! In between you have fantastic views of the desert and the Atlantic Ocean – this setting is simply unique.
There were three of us on the road and we would like to highlight our guide Volker in particular. He was born in Namibia, knows the country like his back pocket and has shared an awful lot of knowledge with us in an entertaining way. Plus, he’s a super likable and humorous guy – being out with him is just fun!
Conclusion: If you are in Namibia and want to enjoy nature, adventure and great stories, you should definitely not miss this tour with Volker. Absolute recommendation from us!
