- Walvis Bay Waterfront - Walvis Bay, Namibia’s primary seaport, is situated between the Swakop and Kuiseb rivers’ mouths on the Atlantic Ocean. To the south of Walvis Bay lies a remarkable lagoon that draws tens of thousands of birds, including numerous flamingos. The lagoon, salt pans, and bird sanctuary that make up the Walvis Bay Wetlands are among southern Africa’s most significant coastal wetlands. Over 150,000 migratory birds spend the summer months in Walvis Bay, with non-breeding palearctic and intra-African species being predominant. More than 150 bird species have been recorded in this area, including the Greater Flamingo, Lesser Flamingo, Great White Pelican, Chestnut-banded Plover, African Oystercatcher, Cape Teal, and Black-necked Grebe. Additionally, European and northern Siberian migrants, traveling between 10,000 and 14,000 kilometers, visit Walvis Bay annually. These long-distance travelers include the Curlew Sandpiper, Sanderling, Grey Plover, and Ruddy Turnstone.

Anna from Poland - Thank you so much for an amazing trip! It gave us unforgettable memories. Everything was perfectly organized, and our guide CJ was fantastic — especially his incredible driving skills on the dunes. We were also very lucky to see flamingos flying after sunset. Highly recommended!

Grand time touring with... - Grand time touring with CJ along the coast and into the huge dunes which form the edge of the ocean. Great fun riding in comfortable 4x4 up, over, and around the massive sand piles. Drinks and snacks shared with others from our ship made for a great afternoon.

A great shore excursion - We booked the Sandwich Harbour tour as it was much cheaper than the shore excursions being offered by our cruise line and it did not disappoint. The pick up and drop off at the port was smooth and on time while the vehicles were comfortable and well maintained (they didn’t squeeze too many into the 4x4s).
Our driver/guide was CJ and he was brilliant, as were all the other drivers from the company we interacted with at the stops. They take you to cool spots and show you how to get the best pictures.

Best Sandwich Harbour tour - CJ is the best! - There are so many options for a Sandwich Harbour tour, but I’m so happy we chose MNG Tour.
Our guide, CJ, was amazing and truly went above and beyond. One of the best things about the tour was his timing. He knew exactly when the popular spots would get busy and managed to get us to the viewpoints before they were swamped. At both stops, we were the first ones there, and by the time we were leaving, the big tour groups were just arriving. Having those views to ourselves made a huge difference.
A few highlights:
• The Dunes: CJ’s driving through the dunes was exhilarating but we always felt completely safe.
• Sand Boarding: This was so much fun! It was an extremely hot day, and CJ made sure we knew exactly what to look out for to stay safe on the sand.
• The Picnic: We saved the picnic for the end, and it was the perfect way to finish. The food and drinks were delicious, and you can’t beat the view of the ocean meeting the desert.
• The Photos: CJ even took cool videos of us and was constantly making sure we were happy and comfortable.
CJ is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and you can tell he really cares about his customers.
It’s great value for the price, and we would pick MNG Tour again in a heartbeat. 10/10!

Great hike in the desert. - Very well organized exit, the driver arrived on time at the exit of the port Superb adventure in the desert, with some fears at the top of the dunes, in front of the slopes... careful driving of the driver who checked before rushing. See flamingos, casseroles, pelicans, seals... and picnic, sensas!

Unforgettable Sandwich Harbour Adventure with Mng Tours - I had the absolute best experience with Mng Tours in Namibia! I did the Sandwich Harbour tour in Walvis Bay, and it was truly unforgettable. From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized and so much fun.
A huge shout-out to Vernon: such a handsome, professional, and knowledgeable guide! He made the whole trip exciting and comfortable, sharing fascinating insights about the area while making sure everyone was having a great time. What really stood out was how he went above and beyond to capture amazing photos and videos of me.
The stunning dune landscapes meeting the ocean were breathtaking, and the whole adventure felt safe, smooth, and full of good vibes. If you're visiting Namibia and thinking about Sandwich Harbour, I 100% recommend Mng Tours!

Great guide, but poor communication and company organization issues - Awesome trip with a fantastic guide Theo who truly made up for several organizational hiccups along the way. There were issues with pickup, unclear locations and a lack of communication around delays due to unforeseen circumstances.
We understand that things don’t always go as planned, but the lack of communication, respect for people’s time and the absence of any apology from the company was disappointing.
Would expect much more dropping $550 for a family of 4.

The sand dunes and the... - The sand dunes and the experience of being up there is amazing.
The tour needs to be recalculated, as the driver was speeding, the snacks was below average and all our stops were made in a rush.
