- Sandwich Harbour - Embark on a thrilling half-day 4x4 adventure departing from Walvis Bay at either 08:30 or 13:00, heading towards the Sandwich Harbour Area. The journey begins with a brief stop at the Walvis Bay Lagoon to admire flamingos and salt works, followed by a visit to the Kuiseb River Delta, a dry riverbed where springbok may occasionally be spotted. The route includes crossing stunning dunes to reach Sandwich Harbour. If weather and tides permit, the drive will continue directly to the Sandwich Harbour Lagoon, one of Southern Africa’s most unique and abundant wetlands. Should the tides prevent driving along the beach, visitors will have the opportunity to view the lagoon from scenic lookout points and explore the Sandwich Harbour Area on foot. Ample time is provided for photography. A light picnic lunch with cold beverages amidst the breathtaking scenery is included before returning through the dunes for further adventure.

Spectacular dune landscape - We would be picked up on time, driver Hans had exciting stories to tell. We would also be surprised with a fantastic picnic in the middle of the dunes. The tour was as described and very nice

Great tour - Great tour with drive between dunes and sea and in the dunes to the Sandwich Habour lagoon. Marius (owner and guide) was great, punctual, informative and absolutely customer-oriented.

A must see in Walvis Bay - Beautiful landscape with dunes falling into the ocean. Very well organized excursion, expert guide. But the place has become very touristy with too many 4x4s roaming the dunes

Visit that became an experience - A highly recommended tour. Our Guide who was called Marius has a lot of experience and drives great. We always feel maximum security. He explained a lot of things about the country, the dunes, the fauna... you can see that he is passionate about what he does and knows how to transmit it. He showed us the colors of sand, metals, dunes flowing into the sea... he drove for fun like a roller coaster. In the end he offered us a picnic that was very delicious, chocolates, beer... We had a great time and learned a lot. We will always thank you for the amazing afternoon you put us through.

Popping champagne between dunes and the ocean - Great tour and shout out to our awesome guide Gerhard! He was super friendly and made the tour that much more enjoyable. The tour was a mix of great views, animals, good picnic lunch, and of course the iconic views of the dunes and ocean. A must do in the area.

A perfect tour - We had such a great time on this half-day tour of Sandwich Harbour and the sand dunes. The flamingos were amazing! Our guide, Gabby, was so friendly and knowledgeable. She definitely knew how to drive the dunes! The tour also included a snack, but it was more like a full lunch. So delicious! A perfect day in Walvis Bay!

Highly recommended - Highly recommended. The tour guide is very professional and knowledgeable. We had a lot of fun seeing the sand dunes, the beach, the flamingos and the wild animals.

Very informative tour with Marius - Marius was very knowledgeable and informative. We had many questions about the culture and history of Namibia, and he was a great person to talk to.
Although the weather was foggy, he made sure to show us great views from various viewpoints. We enjoyed a little picnic with sparkling wine that he had prepared for us. Sandwich Harbor, where the sand dunes meet the ocean, is a spectacular place that will remain as a very precious memory for us.
Towards to the end, he drove up and down the dunes just for the fun of a rollercoaster ride, which was really, really FUN!
He mentioned that he offers customized tours around Namibia (and neighboring countries) too, as many clients prefer to travel on their own without guides. However, his company takes care of route planning, accommodations, permits, and guides (where there is no public access without a licensed operator). We wish we had more time to enjoy this lovely country. I highly recommend it to anyone planning to visit Namibia! ;)

THE tour company for Sandwich harbor tour - I had the Sandwich harbor tour. I had limited time and asked for the tour for 3 hours and it was way beyond expectations. Why 5 stars?
1. Marius and Chantal complemented with knowledge and fun stories. They know how to make the experience memorable. Most friendly and personable guides one can have.
2. They took me to the most picturesque spots in the dunes-many of them. It definitely helps that Marius takes good pictures as well in addition to being a great dune driver.
3. Although I expected to see only the dunes, Marius added so much more- birds, salt making, sand composition, young dune formation, geological facts etc. Chantal added many facts and provided a lot of information about great spots in Namibia and other African countries.
They are very professional tour organizers experienced in providing tours to solo and large groups.
I can’t think of how any other tour company can beat Wild Space Adventures.
Highly recommended!
