Maximum effort from Andrew and the guys. Highly recommended - From the moment we set out on our 4x4 excursion through the dunes of Sandwich Bay with Andrew and his team, I knew it was going to be something special. What I didn’t anticipate was just how thrilling, breathtaking, and unforgettable the entire journey would be. It wasn’t simply a ride through the desert; it was an adventure that combined skill, storytelling, and raw natural beauty into an experience that felt larger than life. Andrew and his crew welcomed us with genuine warmth, setting the tone for the day. Their passion for the dunes was immediately clear, not just in the way they handled the vehicles with confidence, but in the excitement with which they shared local knowledge, history, and anecdotes about the area. They weren’t just guides; they were hosts, storytellers, and guardians of the landscape, eager to make sure every moment counted. As the convoy of 4x4s began its climb over the first towering dune, my heart skipped. The engines roared, tires gripped the soft sand, and in that instant, we were launched into the wild. The sheer power of the vehicles paired with the precision of the drivers made for an exhilarating ride. At times we floated over the crests of dunes, and at others we plunged dramatically down sandy slopes, the adrenaline coursing as everyone laughed and gasped in unison. The dunes themselves felt alive—shifting, golden giants that seemed to stretch endlessly into the horizon. But the excursion wasn’t only about speed and thrills. Andrew’s team had a knack for balancing heart-pounding adventure with moments of calm, reflection, and wonder. At one stop, we stood atop a dune as the Atlantic waves crashed onto the beach below, the desert meeting the sea in a dramatic, almost otherworldly scene. It’s rare to witness two extremes—rolling dunes and endless ocean—intertwining so seamlessly, and Andrew made sure we had time to truly take it in. Throughout the day, the team’s professionalism shone. They anticipated every need, from ensuring safety at every step to offering water and refreshments when the heat pressed down. Even the way they positioned the vehicles at scenic spots made it easy to capture stunning photographs—pictures that now serve as cherished reminders of the journey. Their expertise in navigating the dunes instilled confidence, allowing us to surrender fully to the adventure without a flicker of worry. What struck me most, though, was how personal the experience felt. This wasn’t a cookie-cutter tour; Andrew and his team tailored the pace and energy to suit the group, reading the room (or rather, the dunes) perfectly. Whether you wanted heart-racing descents or quiet moments of natural wonder, they delivered. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and by the end, it felt less like we had been on a tour and more like we had shared a grand adventure with friends. As we returned, the sun dipped low, painting the dunes in hues of gold and crimson. Looking back, the day had been a masterclass in blending excitement with beauty, professionalism with passion. Andrew and his team didn’t just give us a ride through the dunes of Sandwich Bay—they gave us a memory that will last a lifetime.

Exhilarating, beautiful and just good fun! - We’re minutes back from an amazing tour with Winton. It was a beautiful and exhilarating experience particularly for my 80 year old mum! Winton drove with expertise, had awesome knowledge of the wildlife and a great sense of humour. Delicious lunch with a view was the cherry on top. Highly recommend!

Mixture of adventure and nature - It was a great experience seeing the flamingos, the pink lake and going to the Namib Naukluft national park driving up and down the dunes. There was plenty of time for pictures and also a nice lunch away from the other people just for our group right by the ocean. Special thanks to our guide Andrew who did a really great job! Not only did he drive us around but he also explained all there was to know about the nature, the animals and also everything I wanted to know about the culture, language etc. I really saw and learned a lot during this tour.

Although the weather was especially foggy on the morning of our tour, our guide Winton - a true local and super friendly guy - ensured that we got the full experience nonetheless.
