We had a great tour,... - We had a great tour, which was led by Ray. Ray was very friendly and knowledgeable and kept things moving at a perfect pace for the group. We saw a lot without ever feeling rushed. We also appreciated that Ray greeted us as soon as we arrived at the warf at the start of the tour and got us checked in right away so we could relax. Highly recommend this tour with Ray as your guide!

Beautiful gardens, interesting house and outer buildings - Definitely worth seeing! The trip down the Potomac was fantastic- very mellow and the guide had a ton of facts and information. Mt Vernon itself was lovely, the view and history and working farm helped to make the past come alive.

Tour of Mt. Vernon. - Faith was a top notch guide. She gave great insight before, during, and after the visit to Mt. Vernon. She was passionate about the stories behind the people and places--presenting an honest, unfiltered view of the grandness and imperfections of the pre and post colonial era. Despite the construction limitations at Mt. Vernon (only 2 rooms of the main house were viewable at the time), she was able to present an engaging experience. The excursion seemed expensive when we booked, but in the end it was one of the highlights of our trip to DC. 100% worth it.

Amazing Tour Guide - We had an amazing tour guide Allegra, but we were very disappointed that we were not able to see much or any of the mansion due to restoration. However, Allegra turned it into focusing more of the outbuilding gardens .and the tomb and other things and did an excellent job very personable, energetic, and very caring to make sure everyone is comfortable. Not anything to do with Allegra, but we felt like we had to be on a tight timeline in order to be on the boat, but she did the best she could with all the things to see and got us everywhere we needed to be on time . My suggestions would be to possibly do a brunch on the way over so that more time could be allotted, especially once the mansion is restored . The lunch was very disappointing and almost inedible. However, we did not come for the food and overall we say that we had a wonderful experience.
