Best thing about our recent DC trip! - This was our third guided tour from DC Design Tours and we can't wait for more! So much insight about the White House area, Pennsylvania Avenue, and the Capitol. We love these tours as opposed to just wandering around trying to decipher what's what in an unfamiliar area. Very reasonably priced for the insight and knowledge you get. Well worth it!

Loved learning about downtown DC! - I had a wonderful tour of Pennsylvania Avenue with Carolyn! It was fascinating to stop and explore architectural delights hidden in plain sight along a major artery of DC. My favorite part of the tour was learning about the history and design of the Federal Triangle. I left the tour with a new appreciation of how Penn Ave and the Federal Triangle tie together DC’s downtown. Thank you, Carolyn!

Super Tour and Super Guide for DC Locals and Visitors Alike! - My husband and I are relatively new DC locals and thought a tour would be an excellent way to learn more about our new community and we were not disappointed. We had an amazing time with Sam yesterday, as our guide on the White House & Penn Ave Architecture Tour. He was informative, engaging and great fun to spend time with. An architecture tour with the rich historical context is an interesting and illuminating way to learn about DC in that it was a designed city. I will appreciate the buildings and the area in a new way and have fun stories to share with friends. Having previously enjoyed an exceptional tour with Carolyn (Dupont Circle and Embassy Row), I would enthusiastically recommend DC Design Tours to architecture and history buffs alike.

Just what I wanted - dC has some fantastic and varied architecture so I was looking for an architecture tour and was lucky enough to be the only person on the tour as it was the start of the season, so got to spend a very personalised two hours with Caroline who is a fantastic guide. Not only is Caroline an architect, she has a great head for history and interesting anecdotes and is truly passionate about her city. Would recommend whole-heartedly

The Presidential and Architecture Tour - I did think the tour guide was very knowledgeable and he shared interested/funny facts about the time period when deceased presidents lived. However, the title of this tour is very misleading. It’s best not to name this Tour with the White House in it because guests don’t get to “enter” the White House. Travelers coming from afar May not know that. I knew that but the other guests asked the tour guide if we were going to get a chance to go inside.
