• Library of Congress - Following this, the tour proceeds to the Library of Congress, the research library that officially serves the U.S. Congress and is recognized as the national library of the United States. As the oldest federal cultural institution in the country, the 1897 Thomas Jefferson Building showcases Italian-Renaissance style architecture. One of the main attractions inside is the stunning circular main reading room with its 160-foot ceiling.

• U.S. Capitol Visitor Center - Within the Capitol lies the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center, a spacious underground extension of the Capitol complex. It accommodates up to 4,000 visitors and provides additional space for the U.S. Congress. Here, visitors will learn about the distinctive features of the House, the Senate, and the U.S. legislative process, as well as the history and architectural development of the Capitol.

The guide will conclude the tour by providing access passes and information about security protocols for the visitors’ galleries of the current chambers of the House of Representatives and/or the Senate, allowing exploration at your own pace.
