- Mount Huashan - Begin your day with a meet-up in the lobby of your Xi’an Downtown hotel, where you will be warmly welcomed by your knowledgeable and friendly personal guide. You will then be transported in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to Mount Huashan (a 2-hour journey). During the drive, your guide will share fascinating historical insights, and you are encouraged to ask any questions you may have.
Mount Huashan is renowned for its breathtaking natural scenery, featuring steep and narrow paths, dramatic cliffs, and a majestic mountain range. The mountain’s five peaks each offer unique attractions: East Peak is ideal for watching the sunrise; South Peak boasts the highest elevation; West Peak is known for its elegance; North Peak is famed as the Cloud Terrace Peak; and Middle Peak is also referred to as Jade Lady Peak.
Mount Huashan is also home to several significant Taoist temples, where many emperors from past dynasties engaged in Taoist rituals and made offerings to the mountain god, establishing it as a sacred site of Taoism.
- Mount Huashan Plank Trail - Depending on your preferences and physical condition, select the peak that suits you best. Typically, you will take a cable car to either the North Peak or the West Peak.
From the North Peak, if you have the stamina, you can explore the Ear-Touching Cliff, Heavenward Ladder, and Black Dragon Ridge, then reach the Golden Lock Pass and visit Middle Peak and East Peak. You can then hike to the South Peak, the highest point of Mt. Hua. (You can choose how far you wish to venture).
For the adventurous, the renowned Changkong Plank Trail awaits (note that there may be a long queue, and it is at your own expense). This 0.3-meter-wide plank path is built along a sheer vertical cliff. It may appear daunting, but it is certainly an experience worth trying.
- Cuiyun Palace - Finally, you will arrive at the West Peak, a symbol of Mount Hua. Accompanied by your tour guide, enjoy the stunning views of the surroundings, then explore the Cuiyun Palace and learn about the various legendary stories associated with Mount Hua.
Descend via cable car, and you will be transported back to your hotel in Xi’an.
