Amazing tour! - We live on Wellington’s South Coast and have never before had a chance to see the secluded south west corner of the North island held by Terawhiti Station. Booked for a special birthday, we had a fantastic experience being shown the station and heading to Cable Bay, and to see the seals. Although we live on the South Coast we’ve never travelled around the coast past Red Rocks and this time we were able to see the amazing landforms, views and the wildlife - while seeing a working farm in action. It was a really special experience and we were well looked after by Wywy and Chewy and even though as locals you question what you’ll get from a tour of your own back yard, in this case the answer was: heaps!

Great Experience! - What a great experience! Our guide (Gena?) was excellent...very friendly and knowledgeable. We loved seeing the seals up close, in an area you would never normally be able to get to. Definitely recommended!

Wonderful half day excursion - Smashing outing to an eco forest and out to the coast up, over and around the farming countryside down to the coast to view seals. A small group with enthusiastic guide and comfy vehicle. We opted to be dropped off in Wellington for the mono rail up to the botanical gardens and walked back down which was a perfect ending - stopping at the cafe on the way

Great tour - This was a great tour. Our guide Blue was super nice and gave great commentary. We did a quick stop at Otari Bush to see some native trees and plants. We stopped for a few photo ops on the way down to the coast then headed down to see the seals and an old lighthouse. We saw lots of seals and the area is beautiful. Blue provided some small snacks and drinks. He took us through to see some city highlights. We then got off for some shopping in town before getting the shuttle back to the ship. I would do this tour again!

See the seals - - Great experience. Tour guide was very knowledgeable. The only thing I would say is that the tour guide should of had enough water for the 7 of us. He only had pop. Also, I wish he would of helped us find and see the seals

Went to see seals for the day. Saw male seals only who seemed pretty sleepy but was still incredible to see them in wild - Loved the drive through the private farmland. Mountains and wind farm was great to see and photograph. Was lovely seeing male seals although they were quite sleepy and lethargic in afternoon when we visited. Were expecting to see some mothers and babies also but apparently they were further up the beach and would be visited a couple of weeks after we went. Guide was fantastic and was very informative. All in all, a fantastic day and memorable.
