Ask for Jerry - Jerry was great and very friendly! Very punctual and knowledgeable about the island. He took my husband and I to some great spots. He really made us feel right at home If you are looking for a genuine guy to show you the island as if he’s one of your long time friends, Jerry is your guy

Family Day on Roatan - The Infinity Bay Resort was a great place for our family to spend the day in Roatan. It's location at the end of West Bay allowed us to swim out to the reefs from the beach for snorkeling. The resort itself provided great service, good food and drinks for our 3 generations of family. The resort was very clean and pleasant. Should we return to this part of the world we will book this excursion again or possibly even stay at the Resort instead of cruising down. Our driver, Jerry, was prompt, polite and very helpful with our 82 YO mother.

Not the best experience - Could not find where to meet the transportation despite emailing and texting the day before and trying to find where to meet through the app while at the port- had to pay $75 for taxi and Viator would not refund us - so be sure you do not get in a taxi- resort had green algae all over the pool deck and when I sat down there was old fruit and cigarette butts on the desk at 9am so it was not from guests that day. We went to beach to claim chairs and were so excited to lay in beach all day to be told by hotel security we could not sit directly on beach bc we were not hotel guests only day pass guests and had to move to chairs up away from beach

Beautiful resort, tour botched by viator provider - The Infinity Bay Beach Resort was beautiful, and I would absolutely go again, though honestly the food safety of the pool bar is questionable (lots of fruit flies, smelled like rotten food, sour mix was visibly seperated), though that's easily avoided. The resort was not crowded (even with 4 ships in the ports) and had great security. My issue was with the tour itself which we booked through viator. It was not a good value ultimately given what you get for your money. You can purchase entry to the resort for $30 per person, and easily get a private taxi for a low cost, where as viator charge $75 per person for entry and a taxi. The tour providers working with viator are the same taxis you can hire privately for a low cost, and you do not get any benefit from booking them through viator, and they do some sketchy things. My sister booked the same tour via viator with another tour provider and had an even worse experience than us. When she requested a partial refund viator reached out to the provider which denounced any wrong doing obviously, and so her request was declined. I've been on many excursions over the years through different companies, through the cruise lines, and personally procured, and this was by far the least professional and most sketchy tour I've done at any port, honestly im always looking to give the benefit of the doubt but this one agitated even me. Given the limited benefits, for the price I would have expected at least a professional experience (at over $525 for my 7 and an additional $300 for my sister's 4). My experience: We were told by the operator to meet the tour provider at the meeting point between 830am and 900am. The instructions to get to the meeting spot were very poor, thankfully we got off the ship at 800am and headed straight to look for the meet up point, as we didn't want to chance being late given the money spent. We spent 25 minutes trying to find the provider when fortunately we ran into a nice taxi provider who pointed us to the actual provider (another trio that was booked with our provider ran into the same issue and ultimately wound up having to pay a private taxi to get to the resort). When we finally got to the meet up point at 825am we were headed to a bus terminal and told to wait there for 5 minutes fir the guide to return, which was not that concerning at first as we were early, however after the original 830-900am window passed and no one ever returned i went back to the booth where they kept telling us just to wait 5 more minutes while they found more people to fill the bus. Finally at 1000am (after waiting about an hour and a half) I'd had enough and went back over to inform them we would cancel if we didn't leave soon. After 5 more minutes they finally sent us (un guided) and another couple out of the terminal to look for the guide on the street a block or 2 away. We finally found him and he told us and some more people he'd found to follow him to his bus (a transit van and mini van) which required the whole group to walk about a mile along the busy street through an impoverished city neighborhood (which fealt very unsafe), to a muddy lot filled with feces from hopefully just the dozens of stray dogs roaming about. We were then pilled into the vans for the 25 minute treck to the resort where we told to meet back up with the guides about 3 1/2 hours later so we wouldn't miss our boat. Like I said we enjoyed the resort for the limited time we had, but could have done the whole thing privately (like the other people the provider found to pack the vans) for a total of $45 to $50 per person (depending on age, which viator doesn't charge less for children, which made up 5 of my 7 and 2 of my sister's 4). That means it would have cost me $325 vs what i actually spent ($525) and my sister would have spent $190 (vs the $300 she actually spent). When we did leave at 200pm it took until 310pm to get back to the cruise terminal (all on board was scheduled for 315pm). Upon getting out of the van the provider still expected a handsome tip. Once that was all settled all of the groups had to run back to the ship, fortunately as we all ran up the pier the skies opened up and the pouring rain caused delays in boarding the people filling into the ship, which gave us all just enough time to make it on board (so if not for that miracle we would have likely missed our ship). My sister's tour was even worse as the provider informed them half way through the time at the resort that they would have to be leaving an hour early as one of the groups that joined their tour decided they wanted to pay extra to leave early and go see a rum factory tour (she expressed they didnt want to do that, bit were told they had no choice). They met with their guide at the new meet up time and were told to wait for him to use the bathroom, which took so long he canceled the add-on tour siting not enough time, and instead took them back to port. At the end of the day the whole experience has really soured me on viator and I've lost confidence in their ability to provide a professional or well valued experience or their ability to properly vet tour providers that can provide a safe timely tour that won't potentially cause you to miss your cruise ship. My honest review, save your money, book through someone else or independently the day of in port, but still definitely check out infinity west bay beach resort (it was spectacular the pools were great, resort service was on par, the beach and snorkeling were impeccable). Sorry I know that sounds very Karen like (I promise its not, just want to help others avoid my mistake).
