Labuan Bajo Sunset Tour
Batu Cermin Cave - Upon arrival at Komodo International Airport, guests will be warmly welcomed by the team. Enjoy lunch at Mari Makan Resto before embarking on a guided tour of Goa Batu Cermin. Labuan Bajo, a renowned tourist spot in Indonesia, is celebrated not only for its stunning underwater scenery but also for its captivating land attractions. One must-visit site is Goa Batu Cermin, a cave that boasts a unique and breathtaking natural allure. Situated in Batu Cermin Village, this tourist attraction spans approximately 19 hectares and reaches a height of about 75 meters. It is named “mirror rock” because sunlight penetrates the cave’s crevices and reflects off the rocks like a mirror, illuminating the entire cave. Discovered in 1951 by a Dutch archaeologist, Batu Cermin Cave was originally beneath the sea, but seismic activity elevated it above the coastal surface.
Sylvia Hill - The next stop is Sylvia Hill, also known as Puncak Waringin, to witness a mesmerizing sunset in eastern Indonesia. Labuan Bajo offers more than just Komodo dragons and marine tourism; its hills are equally enticing tourist destinations. Sylvia Hill is one such spot, offering breathtaking views of small islands scattered across the sea. Visitors can also admire a fleet of tourist boats anchored in the distance. This location is just a 10-minute drive from Labuan Bajo city center and is conveniently close to Komodo Airport. Dinner is provided at Kelan Resto, followed by hotel check-in.
Labuan Bajo Explore Island and Komodo Dragon
Padar Island - After breakfast at the hotel, guests will head to the port for a speedboat ride to explore various spots on the second day, including a visit to see the Komodo Dragons on Komodo Island. Padar Island, the third-largest island in the Komodo National Park, follows Komodo and Rinca Islands in size. It is closer to Rinca Island, separated by the Lintah Strait, and surrounded by three or four smaller islands. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site, Padar Island is part of the Komodo National Park, along with Komodo, Rinca, and Gili Motang Islands. Although Komodo dragons do not inhabit Padar Island due to a disrupted food chain, the island is home to reptiles like gold ring snakes (Bioga Dendrophylla), monitor lizards, geckos, and green snakes. The surrounding sea offers popular scuba diving and snorkeling spots.
Pink Beach - Pink Beach is a must-visit attraction in Komodo National Park. Located on the north side of Padar Island, it features stunning pink sand and a vast blue sea. The pink hue of the sand results from a blend of white sand grains and red coral fragments. The soft white sand is a delight to touch.
Komodo Island - Komodo Island, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is part of the Komodo National Park, along with Rinca, Padar, and Gili Motang Islands. It is renowned as the natural habitat of the Komodo dragon. As of August 2009, approximately 1,300 Komodo dragons inhabited the island, with a total population of around 2,500 across other islands like Rinca and Gili Motang. Additionally, about 100 Komodo dragons reside in the Wae Wuul Nature Reserve on Flores Island, outside the Komodo National Park. Besides Komodo dragons, the island features exotic flora, including Sepang wood used by locals for medicine and dye, and the nitak tree (Sterculia oblongata), valued for its medicinal properties and tasty seeds.
Taka Makassar Island - Taka Makassar is a small island in Komodo National Park, uniquely shaped like a drop, with white and pink sand. This perfect sandbar, smaller than a football field, boasts clear blue waters and emerges only when the sea recedes. When the tide rises, it submerges underwater. Located near Manta Point, a popular gathering spot for Manta Rays, the area features shallow waters but strong currents. Taka Makassar is famed as the longest reef in Komodo National Park.
Manta Point - At Manta Point Labuan Bajo, visitors are greeted by the breathtaking underwater world. Here, they can observe the graceful movements of manta rays in their natural habitat. These majestic creatures, with wingspans up to 7 meters, are often seen feeding and playing in the clear waters. Witnessing these gentle giants is an awe-inspiring and unforgettable experience for marine life enthusiasts.
Kanawa Island - Kanawa Island is a small paradise with crystal-clear waters, white sand, and stunning coral reefs. The island’s blue sea water gradient is a testament to the beauty of Flores Island, offering extraordinary views and tourist spots from west to east. Starting from Komodo Island National Park, visitors can eventually reach Kanawa Island, a hidden gem on the edge of West Flores.
