Learn how to back your kayak up into the world famous Emerald Cave/Cove to get some stunning memorable photos of the emerald green water. The cave itself is the cherry on top of a spectacular afternoon on the beautiful section of river we paddle. The guided kayak tour takes place within the Lake Mead National Recreation Area and there is an admission fee per vehicle to enter which is payable direct upon entry. This admission fee is waived if you have a current National Park annual pass or military ID.

After visiting the Emerald Cave/Cove, you’ll proceed to a beach in the Canyon where a catered lunch awaits. This stop also offers time to swim or simply unwind and take in the stunning views of the Black Canyon.
You’ll be equipped with top-notch gear and guided by world-class experts and professional office staff.
The total paddling distance ranges from 4 to 6 miles.
- We offer single or tandem (2 seater) kayaks. Please specify which kayak you would prefer.
- The Emerald Cave is just a small cutout of the mountain for a great photo op!
- We provide life vests. Please specify which size you would prefer. S/M, L/XL, 2XL/3XL
- You will be meeting us at the marina. Have reliable transportation to meet us 30 minutes before your tour start time, there is NO cell service at the marina to call a ride share.

Incredible day kayaking - Myself, my wife and three of our friends took the 4 hour kayak tour with lunch included, and everyone keeps talking about how it’s been the best part of our Vegas trip. Jeff and Calvin were our guides, and they were wonderful!!! The kayak trip towards the cave was amazing bc we had the wind on our side. The way back was a bit more difficult due to the strong winds. A few of us lost our hats but one of the guides or other kayakers were always able to snag it in time. And it was still a fun challenge surrounded by Mother Nature. The only downside for me personally, is that there is not an actual cave that you kayak into, which I was semi expecting. It’s more like an overhang that our group of about 12 people fit snugly inside. But the rest of the trip…the guides…the actual kayaking…the scenery and lunch stop…that was super enjoyable and I cant think of a better way to have spent that time. I will definitely take another tour with evolution expeditions if I’m ever back in this side of the country.

Outstanding experience - Having visited Las Vegas for several years, I have taken many activity trips but this was outstanding. I had never kayaked before, and am quite old, but I was helped by Jeff, Calvin and Ryan to have a fantastic experience. The scenery is breathtaking and viewing the mountains and vegetation from the water, and at kayak-speed, was memorable. Thank you for an unforgettable trip.

Kayaked to emerald cave and echo cove - Everyone at Evaluation Expedition was friendly and helpful on teaching us how to kayake. Our tour guide Jeff had a wealth of information on the area and the history that took place. For beginners he made the trip fun and safe

Kayaking Day - Faith did an amazing job today. She started with a courtesy call to ensure she was on her way. She was very informative with history of Vegas and Lake Mead and so much more that I can’t type it all. She took pics and shared them with us. It was a great day.

Fun day trip - Amazing and knowledgeable guide experience with Faith. She explained both the natural history as well as the human history of developing the area. The wind picked up a bit on the way back and she did a very good job keeping us together and safe.

Have FAITH - What a great trip! Our guides FAITH and CARSON really made the difference. We got to see beautiful scenery including the Colorado river, bald eagles and big horned sheep. Would highly recommend this experience.

Brilliant experience highly recommend - We had a brilliant experience on this tour, and we added the visit to the Hoover Dam along with it. Our guide Faith was lovely, had great knowledge on where we went and everything was really well organised and efficiently run. The Emerald cave stop on the river was lovely and we would definitely recommend Evolution to go with. Professional, friendly, interesting and knowledgeable!

Kayak and Hoover Dam experience - Had an amazing half day out on the water with Ryan our guide who then took us to Hoover Dam to complete our day. Ryan was fantastic and made sure our kayak trip and visit to Hoover Dam was an unforgettable experience. Very good communication with the company beforehand (Thank you Kristin) as the weather was forecast to get increasingly windy. They kept us up to date and we managed to sort out the trip that we will remember for a long time.

An amazing experience!!! - From my first phone call to the memories made, before during and after this adventure I felt so comfortable and confident on our first kayaking adventure. I highly recommend Evolution Expeditions to all visiting Las Vegas, even during the winter. We were blessed to get Faith as our guide for the day. She made sure to give great instructions before we started and continued to share her knowledge and compassion about the animals, life and earth itself all while making sure all in her group were still smiling and enjoying everything.
