Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center - The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Alaska’s wildlife through conservation, education, research, and quality animal care. AWCC takes in injured and orphaned animals and provides them with a permanent home. The Center hosts numerous educational and daily guest programs, including the Walk on the Wild Side tour, where you can get a closer look at the Alaska Wildlife that makes its home here. AWCC also offers up-close animal encounters in the summer featuring moose or brown bears. There are many animals that call AWCC home including black and brown bears, moose, elk, lynx, caribou, muskox, bison, reindeer, wolves, foxes, deer, and more. Choose between driving the 1.5-mile loop, or spending your time walking through the 200 acres that make up the AWCC Campus.
