Wonderful company - Had a fantastic trip to the Salt Mines, with Thomas at Poland is beautiful. He arrived on time and was very informative as we travelled to the mines through Krakow. Thomas escorted us to the entrance and we skipped the long queue to our lovely guide. The mines were wonderful and at the end we were in a different place and Thomas came and picked us up after having waited for us. I also had Thomas take me on a trip on the Pope John Paul trail and again he was professional and friendly and as a solo female traveller I felt totally safe and at ease. From my experience on both trips I would highly recommend Thomas and Poland is beautiful. Thank you

Salt Mine - Interesting and beautiful salt mines. We booked through Poland is Beautiful and were taken there and back by Thomas - lovely journey and he waited for us at the end, after the specified time, so that we could visit the museum at the end of the Mine tour. Thank you Thomas!

Great day - Great day at the Salt mine. Tomasz was very polite and friendly. He was right on time to pick me up for my tour. Excellent driver and waited patiently for us whilst we finished our tour. The Salt mine was also quite interesting in terms of Polish history and worth a visit. Much recommended.

Well arranged - Very successful. The day before departure we received all the necessary information via whatsapp. We were picked up from our hotel. Friendly driver named David, he has given us a lot of information about what the day would look like. Upon arrival he led us to the entrance, at the end of the tour he picked us up again. All in all, well arranged and worth repeating.

Do support this local but professionally-run tour company - Wanted to visit the Salt Mines and was toying with the idea of going DIY or going with an agency. Found Poland Is Beautiful via a Krakow Facebook group and it had good reviews and luckily for us, it was running a promotion with discounted prices. It was a no-brainer for us as for just a few euros more, we had door-to-door pick up and drop off, tickets organised and bought in advance for us and the company of our driver/guide Lukas who was friendly and informative. Had a great chat with him about Krakow in general, and he offered many tips and recommendations for our stay. Honestly, if you're on a tight budget, you can easily do the Salt Mines on your own as you can simply take a direct train there from Krakow Glowny and buy your entry tickets directly from the Wieliczka Salt Mines website. The entry ticket comes with the guided tour run by the Mines staff themselves and not the tour guide from the agency. So essentially by going with a tour agency, you are just paying for transportation there and for them to buy tickets for you. However, we were happy that we used the services of Poland Is Beautiful as we appreciated not having to walk in the cold from our apartment to the train station and from the station to the Salt Mines and we would certainly not have gotten the bonus of chatting with a local (Lukas) during the trip and getting all his personal takes and recommendations. My interaction with Tomasz the agency owner was great. He was very prompt and helpful in answering my numerous queries prior to the tour and kept us apprised and updated the day before with pertinent logistics like pick up time, driver's particulars etc.  I understand that Poland Is Beautiful is a small boutique agency that does many other tours and specialises in trips to Zakopane. Given my great experience with them, I will certainly support local and contact them again when I return to Krakow in the future.

Excellent service from... - Excellent service from tour operator. We were kept fully informed about pick up times and the vehicle. The driver was on time and very friendly. He even dropped us off at a different location on the way back and gave us information about where we wanted to visit. The salt mines tour was good. Not exactly what I expected but was worth visiting.

Salt mine - Driver Dawid was prompt and friendly. At the salt mine Shame headset didn't work after 10 minutes missed a lot of the information. Beautiful to see so it's worth visiting
