Ohrigstad - Today, the journey will take approximately 4 to 5 hours from Johannesburg to Hannah Game Lodge, nestled at the base of the Drakensberg Mountains in Limpopo Province, South Africa. The lodge is situated within a private nature reserve spanning 8,000 hectares. While there are no scheduled activities for today, guests have the option to join an afternoon safari drive.

Panorama Route and Kruger National Park

Blyde River Canyon Nature Reserve - The day begins with a visit to the Blyde River Canyon, located about an hour’s drive from the lodge. Blyde River Canyon is the third largest canyon globally, following the Grand Canyon in the USA and Fish River Canyon in Namibia.

Bourke’s Luck Potholes - The next stop is Bourke’s Luck Potholes, part of the Drakensberg Escarpment along the Panorama Route. This area features unique rock formations created by erosion from whirlpools over millions of years.

God’s Window - The final attraction on the Panorama Route is God’s Window, another highlight on the Drakensberg Escarpment. God’s Window offers a breathtaking view of the Lowveld region, including Kruger National Park. After exploring the Panorama Route, the journey continues with a 2-hour drive to the next lodge, located near one of the Kruger Park entrances. In the late afternoon, guests can enjoy a 3-hour sunset drive.

Kruger National Park - Today, guests can choose from various safari options, including a 3-hour morning safari drive, a 3-hour afternoon game drive around the lodge concession, or a full-day safari lasting approximately 9 hours in Kruger National Park.

Khaya Ndlovu Hoedspruit

Hoedspruit - After checking out from Mdluli Safari Lodge, the journey continues with a 2-hour drive to Khaya Ndlovu House Manor, located on a small private game reserve near the town of Hoedspruit, west of Kruger National Park. In the late afternoon, guests have the opportunity to join a sunset safari drive.

Khaya Ndlovu Safari Manor is the sole commercial lodge within the Rietspruit Big 5 Game Reserve in Hoedspruit, serving as the gateway to the Greater Kruger National Park. Positioned on the edge of a kopje, the Manor provides stunning views of the African bush, framed by the rugged Drakensberg Mountain range.

Guests can embark on open-vehicle safaris through prime Big 5 territory, with the exciting possibility of spotting cheetahs, wild dogs, and more.
