A Northerner welcomes insight into Southern Living - Just what I needed to learn what I was seeing in this historic city - sweeping changes from colonial times, through the Civil War, racial strife, incredible prosperity for some, abandonment of city core after WW I until a small group of people started preservation efforts in 1960’s. It’s all in the housing stock within a small loop of walking. I enjoyed the engaging commentary and pace. Tourism is an economic driver along with film and tv production.
