Great choice for kids 2-10 - For kids ages 2-10 Legoland is a better choice than DisneyWorld. The rides are designed especially for those ages and the park is laid out with their comfort in mind - safe climbing areas, cooling water features throughout, ample stroller parking, and shaded line areas. Kids have the opportunity to build Legos while their parents wait in line for the rides - brilliant! Climbing areas for little ones are placed adjacent to rides for older children - again, so well designed! Plenty of smaller rides with shorter lines give ample ride options. Food options are good, typically pricey, but good quality and plentiful.

Great first park experience for our younger elementary age kids! - Park was great for our kiddos ages (4-9) and we had a blast! Wasn’t crowded even for March, lines were low & it was very clean. Lots of places to cool down and refill water bottles. Rides were great and there are some rollercoasters for older kids. We stayed for about 6 hours and didn’t see it all. Honestly - it was a great first park experience to gauge our kids readiness for bigger Disney parks. I would absolutely recommend. Our four girls had a great time!

What to expect at Legoland Florida - My Legoland Experience is probably a bit different than most - I’ve been to multiple Legolands (CA, FL, and NY.) I read over the reviews and want to clarify a few things:
1). It’s not a great experience for kids above the age of 8. But for those kids below 8, it’s amazing. My kids have been to many theme parks - Dollywood, Hershey, Six Flags, Knotts, Holiday World, Disneyland and World, Six Flags (multiple), City Museum, you name it. They’re 5 and 7. When asked where they want to go, amongst all of these choices, it’s Legoland. (Really upsets my Minnie-loving Wife)
2). All theme parks are designed to make money off their patrons. At the Florida LL, I hear folks complain about the price of food and other typical theme park stuff, and I’m here to tell ya - Legoland is better than average (best goes to Dollywood.) It’s a business, and they have to make a profit like other parks.
3). When you visit any of these places during the off season, you get a few less options. Sure, some parks don’t have off seasons (Knotts, Disney, etc). At LL, they do tend to do a lot of off season repair. If this doesn’t work for you, only visit during peak.
4). The key differentiator is the hotel experience. It’s a bit pricy, but it solves a lot of issues with littles and hot days. Lego themed rooms really excite my kids. It doesn’t hurt that the hotel includes park tickets at a big discount. As passholders, we get normal hotel rates most of the time.
5). So, what’s not to like? The hotel will route your customer service issues to corporate, who don’t usually respond. I had an issue where the pools were not operating and asked for a refund of the resort fee. Took a few months. Lots of phone calls. Also their technology behind the front desk is really a challenge.
In summary: it doesn’t matter if the property is perfect, this is an experience you do for your kids. And it’s a great into to roller coasters for newbies.

Lego-tastic - The amount of lego sculptures were amazing! My 8 year old loved looking at everything. Rides were short and mild, so good for those who aren't really into roller-coasters yet. Not many kid friendly meals in the park, not a grilled cheese, mac-n-cheese, or pbj to be seen, so we packed up a lunch the second day. Beware of the shops and plan to spend lots! Over all highly recommend for those who love lego!

Spring Break 25 - It was me and my 7 y/o son. We started at the holiday inn express which is like 15 mins away from the park. The park is super huge! I like that they have the app as well as the map printout to show you where to go. The wait times weren’t long at all. It’s best to go when the park opens. The food and LL merch prices are a bit out of control. T-shirts were $30 with simple printing on them. I did like that you don’t have to purchase the food out there tho. You can take small snacks like sandwiches and your water bottles. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes. There’s a lot of walking. Didn’t like that you couldn’t wear swim wear on the battle of bricksburg attraction. You’re forced to get your regular clothes soaked. Loved that you can refill water bottles throughout the park. LOVED the mini figure trading thing! The soft serve ice cream was so good for the heat! I think the characters of the Ninjago world should come out way earlier than 2:15 if the park opens at 10. I say that because from my observation, it’s one of the MOST popular worlds there! The water park of just ok. The main attraction of it was closed for maintenance. The peppa pig theme park was ok as well. I would say skip out on that if you can but if you have kids that are true fans of that cartoon, take them. The water part of that park seemed better because LL didn’t have the bucket open. Our spring break was a total success!! We would come back!

Some good, some bad - a genuine 2.5 stars - We were a party of 8 including 3 grandkids under 10 and a lot of the party are Lego fans. It was a drive of nearly an hour from our hotel in Lake Buena Vista but we thought that was worth it for the experience. Car parking here is slightly more expensive than at Disney and Universal - not sure why, the park didn’t seem overly busy yet there queues for most rides that were open. A disappointing number of attractions were closed and there was a lot of building work going on. My son-in-law was informed that one ride was closed because the seats were too hot in the sun - it’s Florida so surely that’s a common occurrence!! I suspect that the park is not staffed as well as other theme parks. The ice cream place served slowly, the eating places were fairly limited and overpriced.
On the plus side, the kids enjoyed the 3 minute ride in the self drive cars (why so short?), the jousting horses ride, the carousel and a few other rides. They really enjoyed playing with the Lego in various play parks. Otherwise this would have been a one star review.

Kids had fun, but mix bag for parents - We have gone to Legoland 3 of the last 4 years in March for my son's birthday. He loves Legoland because lines are short and he can ride most rides "on his own" with his older sister. They are ages 7 and 10. While the kids had a good time, this trip was a mix bag for us parents. Legoland seems to be going downhill. We bought the new Florida resident 3-day pass and went for 2 days in a row on a Sunday, Monday. The park felt dead even though it was spring break week and the weather was good. There were no shows or parades or night entertainment. The park said it was open until 7PM but on our first day pretty much everything shut down at 5PM, food vendors were even covering up their stands at 5:20PM! Most of the rides were running but they broke down often. We got stuck on both The Great Lego Race and The Lego Movie Masters of Flight and had to be evacuated from both rides. We barely got off the Ninjago ride before it broke down right behind us so we were almost stuck on that ride too. We had hope to experience the Pirate River Quest but it was closed both days due to weather.
We still made some good memories. Highlights for our trip included laughing while getting wet on the Battle of Bricksburg, riding the Dragon rollercoaster, facepainting (at an expensive $23 per kid), Beetle Bounce drop ride, the master builder workshop at the Legoland hotel, and staying at the Beach Retreat. We were happy to see Peppa Pig land still maintained its bright colors. And we were excited to see a new ride being built on the site of the old Flight School Coaster, just don't know if it will be enough for us to return to experience the attraction if some other changes aren't made. If I could give one suggestion - I recommend Legoland bring back more of a botantical garden feel, plant more brightly colored flowers. And perhaps add a fun walk-thru greenhouse showcasing all the new Lego flowers in beautiful displays.

Expectations high, experience outcome low. - As I turned into Legoland car park with excitement and expectation of a great day with three young kids, I was hit with a confusing queue of cars splitting into 4 lanes and then merging back into three again. It took me 1 hour to drive to the park and 30 mins queuing up to get in to the car park....but hey the best was yet to come, or so I thought 🤷
I downloaded the App and saw the different rides and their wait times. I found most of these inaccurate and worst of all, when we decided to go for food, we headed to the Taco stall that said on the App that it was open, only to find when we got there after a 15 minute hike that it was closed for the day....confusing as the the APP still said it was open?????
I also found a lot of the little food stalls were closed, causing longer queues in the restaurants, highlighted by the 30 mins wait to get a couple of ice creams at the Fire Rescue ice cream parlour.
A lot of the issues I believe were caused by a lack of staff at the ice cream parlour and on some of the rides where one person was trying to manage everything, slowing down the turnaround of riders queuing up.
I also experienced a few fast pass bias on a couple of rides. This needs to be managed better.
Upon leaving the park and visiting the restrooms, I found a broken lock on a toilet door and my wife and kids had no toilet tissue in their cubicle..
I am visiting from the UK and have been to the Windsor Legoland and had a vastly better experience.
I will say, it was not all bad and I'm only pointing out the things that need improving.
I loved The Lego USA area and the rides we did get on were so suitable for the kids that their day was fulfilled
The entrance price was reasonable, but costs inside the park were the usual "on the high side" but quality was good.
I just had the impression that staff didn't seem as motivated as I've found in other parks in Orlando, and only management will know the reason for that...

Disappointing Visit - We visited Florida Legoland today. Our experience was disappointing. There were rides closed that were not listed as being closed on the website. While waiting in line for several rides, we were told they would be temporarily closed. We purchased photo magic and not one photo was taken due to cameras not working. I have requested a refund, however, the employee at the Photo checkout did not seem confident I will receive a refund. Groundkeepers, the staff running the Firetruck ride and the Pirates River Boat were the friendliest staff in the park. Others acted like it was a bother patrons were in the park today. The Lego creation displays were great and park was clean.
I am sharing in hopes this will help provide feedback to assist with improving others experience.

Legoland Florida Is a Scam Disguised as a Theme Park -
Let’s get one thing straight—Legoland Florida is not a theme park. It's a glorified roadside park with a few Lego statues tossed in for decoration. If you're expecting an immersive Lego world, you're in for a crushing disappointment. There's not a single area in the entire place that feels magical, imaginative, or remotely in line with what you'd expect from a brand as iconic as Lego.
The whole experience reeks of a cash grab. They constantly run ticket discounts to bait you in, only for you to discover the true cost once you're through the gates. And good luck even getting in on time—parking is an absolute disaster. They funnel everyone through a pathetic six-lane entrance (half of which are always closed) causing massive backups. You’re paying $35 for the privilege of sitting in line. Then there's just one sluggish security line, adding another chunk of wasted time.
And that’s just the beginning. Once inside, you’ll quickly realize that the 10 AM to 5 PM park hours (even during summer!) are designed to limit how much you can do—and how much frustration they can squeeze in. Ride wait times balloon to 80+ minutes because they intentionally understaff the attractions. Fewer operators, slower lines, higher wait times. It’s manufactured inefficiency, all to nudge you toward their outrageously overpriced fast pass—which costs more than the actual ticket.
In the end, you're lucky if you get on 5 or 6 rides. That's it. Their entire model is designed to force repeat visits while nickel-and-diming you at every step.
Oh, and if you still thought you were in some kind of branded Lego world, the tacky carnival games scattered around the park will remind you otherwise. It feels cheap, uninspired, and totally at odds with what Lego stands for. Every corner is crammed with overpriced junk in Lego packaging. It’s not about fun, imagination, or creativity. It’s about squeezing every last dollar out of you.
Avoid this place unless you enjoy long lines, minimal rides, and the constant feeling of being scammed. Legoland Florida is a theme park in name only.
