• Southern Alps Air - Scenic Flights - Experience the Milford Sound Glacier Flight & Cruise departing from Wanaka. Begin your journey at Wanaka Airport, taking in the stunning views of the Clutha River and Lakes Wanaka and Hawea before reaching the majestic Southern Alps. Fly through two National Parks, witnessing numerous glaciers, waterfalls, mountain lakes, ice, snow, and more. Upon arrival at New Zealand’s West Coast, turn into Milford Sound and fly the entire length of the fiord. After a safe landing at Milford, embark on a scenic boat cruise to enjoy breathtaking views from the water. Your pilot will greet you after the cruise and fly you back to Wanaka via a different route, offering even more spectacular scenery. Departure times are 8:45 am and 1:30 pm from October to April, and 11:00 am from May to September. The entire experience lasts approximately 4 hours.
