The itinerary includes a visit to Arjuna Temple, a collection of small Hindu temples dating back to the seventh century. Currently, there are 10 temples remaining, compared to the 400 mentioned in “The History of Java” by Raffles in 1817.
The temples were skillfully crafted by artisans known as “Sipi.” Before a “Sipi” could construct a temple for the public, they were required to build a small temple in this area and present it to the leader of the Sipi. This is why there were many temples in this region in the past.
