Absolutely The Only Way To See Wolves! - Our winter safari in Yellowstone National Park with Hayden Valley Tours was absolutely unforgettable—truly a five-star experience from start to finish. Brian was an exceptional guide. He brought a calm, grounded energy that made the entire day feel relaxed and immersive, and I especially appreciated that he didn’t feel the need to fill every moment with chatter. He struck the perfect balance—sharing insights when it mattered and giving us space to simply take in the magic of Yellowstone in winter. It was clear that Brian is deeply respected in the guide community. Other guides constantly called him over to compare notes and ask what he’d seen—it felt like we were traveling with a local celebrity. Watching the guides collaborate and share information added a whole extra layer to the experience and made wildlife spotting feel like a true team effort. One of the true highlights was wolf spotting. Brian is deeply passionate about wolf conservation and a genuine advocate, which made the experience all the more meaningful. Through his scope, we witnessed unforgettable moments—a rally where the wolves were wagging their tails and howling. It’s something we never could have experienced on our own. And at the end of the trip, he airdropped us 77 photos and videos—an incredible bonus that allowed us to relive moments we simply wouldn’t have been able to capture ourselves. And the wildlife overall did not disappoint—we saw nearly everything you could hope for (with the lone exception of a moose!). It was incredible. If you’re considering a winter tour of Yellowstone, this is absolutely the way to do it. Highly, highly recommend.

What a wildlife tour!! - Our family of four had a wonderful experience. The day started at 6.30 am and we were out an about for almost 10 hours. Our guide, Brian, was very knowledgeable about the area, the wildlife, the hot springs. We saw many animals and birds, thanks to Brian. I am sure we wouldn't have been able to spot them without our amazing tour guide.

Great experience with Hayden Valley Nature Tours - Yellowstone Private Winter Safari and Wolf Watching - We went on the Yellowstone private wildlife safari and wolf watching tour with Hayden Valley Tours. We have been to Yellowstone multiple times and always focus on wildlife watching. This tour was by far the best experience we have had watching wildlife in the park. Our guide, Brian, was great. He was able to show us a wide variety of wildlife and even showed us a live viewing of wildlife feeding. He had much knowledge of wildlife habits, daily routines in the park and Yellowstone history. Through his radio connections with other watchers in the park he was able to track the locations of wildlife throughout the day. I was unsure about a private tour due to the cost. However the cost was well worth it as we were able to see so much more wildlife than we would on a group tour and he concentrated on our individual interests. I feel like it was money well spent to make the most of our time in the park. Highly recommend.

WOLVES - If you not only want to see wolves but also learn ALL about them, Brian is your guy! He has a serious eye for spotting them and knowing their common whereabouts. It’s also clear the wolf watching community is always in contact and looking out for one another. 10/10 tour and we saw more than wolves!

Best Decision We Made – Brian Got Us on Wolves! - Booking this tour with Brian was hands down the best decision we made for our Yellowstone trip. Brian is incredibly knowledgeable, but what really impressed me is how well connected he is. He seems to know everyone in the park, and because of that, he always has the latest updates on wildlife activity. That network makes a huge difference — especially in winter. And yes… we saw wolves. Not just a quick, distant sighting — he positioned us perfectly and made sure we were in the right place at the right time. Watching wolves in the wild like that was unforgettable. It’s something we’ll be talking about for years. Brian also really listens. If there’s something you’re hoping to see, he genuinely tries to make it happen. He’s patient, calm, and clearly passionate about what he does. If you’re considering a winter safari in Yellowstone, ask for Brian. And if you can, book multiple days. The more time you spend out there with him, the better your chances of seeing incredible wildlife — especially wolves. Couldn’t recommend him more.

Exceptional Experience with Brian – A True Wildlife Expert - Our private winter safari in Yellowstone was absolutely outstanding, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Brian. Brian is not just a tour guide — he is a true wildlife professional. His knowledge of the park is extraordinary. He knows every valley, every ridge, and every hidden corner that’s worth visiting. More importantly, he understands animal behavior deeply, which makes all the difference when you’re hoping to see (and photograph) specific wildlife. What truly sets Brian apart is his network. He has an incredible connection with other guides and wildlife spotters throughout the park, which means he constantly receives real-time intel. This dramatically increases your chances of being in the right place at the right time. In winter, timing is everything — and Brian knows exactly how to position you for success. As a photographer, I had very specific animals and landscapes I wanted to capture. Brian listened carefully and tailored the experience to help me achieve those goals. Thanks to him, I was able to photograph exactly what I came for — and more. If you are serious about wildlife viewing or photography, I highly recommend booking with Brian. And my biggest advice: book multiple days. The longer you stay out with him, the greater your chances of witnessing rare moments and capturing the images you truly want. Yellowstone rewards patience, and Brian knows how to make every day count. Highly, highly recommended!

An unforgettable experience with Hayden Valley Nature Tours - Brian is one of the most knowledgable guides I have ever met. He is very down to earth and all inclusive. Yellowstone is the best place in the world to see the wild wolves. If you love wolves, grizzlies, coyotes, and other critters, book a tour with Brian. He knows where to find the animals. Once you see a wild wolf, you will never forget it. Truly an incredible experience with Hayden Valley Nature Tours! Natasha B.

Absolutely Awesome! Choo$e Wi$ely!! 😊 - My family and I are regulars at Yellowstone. We’ve been on several tours over the years. I must say, Hayden Valley Nature Tours was absolutely spectacular. Our guide Bryan seemed to have an uncanny ability to locate all the animals. We’ve never had a guide find moose, bison, elk, longhorn sheep, deer, mountain goats, and my personal favorite the wolves all in one tour! Apparently he does all the tours personally, and it shows. We rode in a very comfortable gmc Yukon with coffee, snacks, bottled water, soda, sandwiches. You name it, they had it! The kids, wife, and I were very happy. We’ve never repeated a tour with the same company but next time we take a tour it will be with Hayden Valley Nature Tours. Choose wisely!
