- Xarrë - Guests will visit the National Park of Butrint, situated near the ancient city of Butrint and the old aqueduct. After a brief stroll through tangerine fields, they will enter the plantation to see mandarin trees up close and engage in the process of feeding and cleaning them. We host the Mandarina Tour, an immersive journey to the world of tangerines near the old city of Butrint. This is a personal interactive engagement with local cultivators and cuisine.
During the tour, the farmers will impart some fundamental knowledge on fruit harvesting protocols, the importance of adhering to these, and then invite you to participate in the time-honored custom of fruit picking. Once our wooden boxes are brimming with tasty fruit, we’ll take a break at a picturesque location where the farmers will serve a lavish traditional lunch, comprising famous Xarra homemade bread, feta cheese, olives, orange juice, and water. Our local flavor is literally put on the plate with a heartwarming smile. Afterwards, the chief farmer will share insights on tangerines, the history of our quaint village, the efficacy of the enterprise, and his infatuation with this sun-kissed fruit.
