Huli Mountain Fort - Accompany the friendly guide to Huli Mountain Fort, a historical site that once overlooked the waterway between Xiamen and mainland China. Used during the Qing dynasty to deter invaders, it is now a heritage site where visitors can view the cannons and explore the fort’s layout. While much of China’s history is ancient, this fortress offers insights into pre and post-colonial times, the opium wars, and its role in shaping modern China. Take time to read the plaques for a deeper understanding, then enjoy a leisurely lunch.

Gulangyu Island - After a short break, the private driver will transport you to Xiamen International Cruise Center to catch a ferry to the must-see Gulangyu Island. Upon arrival, enjoy a peaceful walk, admire the grandeur of historic buildings, and visit Shuzhuang Garden, a beautiful seaside garden housing a renowned Piano Museum with a remarkable collection of unique pianos. Enjoy a stroll along the coastal bridge, offering stunning views of the sea and surrounding landscape. Return to Xiamen Island by ferry, where the private driver will take you to a local restaurant for dinner before returning to the hotel.

Hongkeng Earthen Folk Culture Village - The tour begins with a pickup from the Xiamen hotel at the chosen departure time, followed by a scenic 3-hour drive to the picturesque Hongkeng Earthen Folk Culture Village. Here, visitors will learn about the area’s history and culture. Along the way, enjoy the captivating rural scenery of Fujian province, with the guide providing a brief introduction to the Tulou villages. Marvel at the UNESCO-listed wonders upon arrival at the Hongkeng Tulou Folk Cultural Village, home to the region’s largest and best-preserved Tulou. Explore the Zhenchenglou, Rushenglou, and Kuijulou Tulou clusters and wander through the ancient villages. Lunch will be served in a cozy and delightful restaurant. The tour concludes with a return to Xiamen and drop-off at the hotel.
