Xiamen to Hukeng

Xiamen - Be ready for pickup from your hotel lobby at 07:30. Arrive 10 minutes early and inform the front desk that you are waiting for a driver. The driver does not speak English but will identify you through eye contact.

An urgent contact number will be provided in your voucher. An English-speaking local tour operator is available for support. If you do not see your driver, please reach out for assistance.

Enjoy a private transfer to Xiamen Fanghu Long Distance Bus Station. Your bus ticket (E-ticket) will be pre-arranged. Use the QR code on your E-ticket for boarding.

Hukeng, Fujian - Visit the stunning Tulou Clusters in Hong Keng village, near Hukeng township in Yongding County.

Your bus departs at 08:30. The local tour operator will send a confirmation voucher. “Please drop me off at Earth Building Cultural Village” is printed in both Chinese and English on your voucher. Show this to the bus driver.

Disembark at “Earth Building Cultural Village”, one stop before the final station “Hu Keng”. The journey takes 3.5 hours.

Upon arrival at “Earth Building Cultural Village”, you will be met at the bus terminal. A hotel staff member holding a sign with your name will escort you to your hotel for the night. The hotel is a 15-minute walk away. The hotel owner’s cell phone number is also on your voucher for urgent contact if needed.

Gaobei Tulou Compound - Spend the night at Changli Hostel in the Fuyulou Cluster.

Changli Hostel in Fuyulou Cluster: This hostel is situated in a traditional 130-year-old Hakka building within the Fuyulou Cluster, originally featuring 160 rooms. The villagers have renovated 20 rooms with basic bed and breakfast facilities. The rooms are clean and tidy. The cluster is close to the renowned Zhenchenglou Cluster. After the tourists leave, you will experience life in the cluster as it has been for hundreds of years.

Feel free to explore all the Tulou Clusters on your own. There are numerous famous tulou clusters nearby. You can also visit Hakka families to learn more about their culture.

Hukeng to Xiamen

Gaobei Tulou Compound - Zhenchenglou Cluster: Located in Hong Keng village, Hukeng township of Yongding County. Built in 1912 by the descendants of a wealthy tobacco merchant, Zhenchenglou is a double-ring tulou. Its outer ring is four stories high with a total of 184 rooms, and the inner ring has two stories with 32 rooms. The outer ring is divided into four segments based on the Bagua concept of Chinese Fengshui.

Hukeng Earth Building Cultural Village to Xiamen:
7:50am, 12:50pm, 2:50pm (only 3 buses a day)

The return bus ticket can only be purchased from Hukeng Bus Station. Please ask the hotel staff to provide the ticket as soon as you meet them. The ticket cost is included in our package.

• You can buy this package only when the credit card used and passport holder is the same person. It means you can buy this package for you and your family, but you need to travel with them to Xiamen. The local travel agent will ask you to take photo of your passport page and send it by email. If the orginal credit card holder does not show up, the hotel will refuse you to check in. There is no refund if this happens.
• Please provide your first name, last name, gender, nationality, passport number upon reservation. Your local tour supplier need these information to reserve your hotel room

• Zhenchenglou Cluster is a world heritage site, accommodation in Zhenchenglou Cluster is not open to any visitors. Instead, you will stay overnight in Fuyulou Cluster. The facilities in family style Inn is simple.
