• Xiamen - In the morning, the tour guide and driver will collect guests from their hotel around 09:00. They will be transported to a ferry for a brief 10-minute boat ride to Gulangyu Island, marking the start of this private Xiamen day tour.
• Gulangyu Island - The initial destination is Shuzhuang Garden, located in the island’s southern region. The garden boasts a clever design that harmonizes with the natural landscape, featuring two sections: the Garden of Hiding the Sea (Canghaiyuan) and the Garden of Making-Up Hills (Bushanyuan). Following this, guests will visit the Piano Museum, which showcases an extensive collection of both historic and contemporary pianos from Hu Youyi’s collection. Gulangyu Island is a popular tourist destination due to its delightful climate and stunning scenery. From afar, it resembles a charming garden floating on the sea. As visitors leisurely explore the island, they will be captivated by the architecture that blends Chinese and foreign styles, vibrant flowers, lush trees, and the captivating coastal views. Once a private garden, the villa-style Shuzhuang Garden on the island features many beautiful structures, including pavilions and houses. In the Piano Museum within Shuzhuang Garden, visitors can also enjoy a fascinating insight into the history of this musical instrument.
• Nanputuo Temple - After lunch, the Xiamen day trip continues to the South Putuo Temple, a renowned temple across China and home to the Buddhist College of Minnan. The South Putuo Temple is an ancient Buddhist temple originally established during the Tang Dynasty (618 - 907). It is grand in scale, primarily consisting of four buildings: Devajara Hall, Mahavira Hall, Dabei Hall, and the scripture library. Those interested in Buddhist culture will find the sacred Buddhist statues and treasures within the temple truly impressive.
• Huli Mountain Fort - Subsequently, the guide will accompany guests to the Hulishan Battery Scenic Spot, a military outpost built during the late Qing dynasty. Today, it showcases artillery from the Qing dynasties. If time allows, guests can stroll along the Island Ring Road to admire the breathtaking seascape and man-made scenery.
• Xiamen - Finally, guests will be escorted back to their hotel in Xiamen.
