Xi’an–Ancient City of Pingyao

Xi’an - A personal driver will collect you early in the morning and take you to Xi’an Railway Station to board your high-speed train to Pingyao, departing at 7:41 am. The driver will assist with ticket collection.

Pingyao Railway Station Wenxunchu - Upon reaching Pingyao Railway Station, look for your name and meet your tour guide and driver at the Exit. You will then be transferred to your hotel (arranged independently) for check-in.

Ancient City of Pingyao - After a brief rest, your tour guide will escort you to a local restaurant. Following lunch, explore Pingyao Ancient City. Begin with a walk on the City Wall with your private guide. Then, visit key attractions in Pingyao Ancient Town, such as the Pingyao Confucian Temple, Rishengchang Former Bank, and Ming and Qing Dynasties Street, among others. After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel in Pingyao. If your hotel is within the Ancient City, you can walk back with your guide.

Qiao’s Family Compound–Shuanglin Temple–Xi’an

Qiao’s Family Compound (Qiao Jia Dayuan) - In the morning, your private guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel and proceed to Qiao’s Family Compound, situated in Qi County, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province, 42 km (25 mi) from Pingyao Ancient City. This expansive architectural complex showcases the distinctive lifestyle of northern China during the Qing Dynasty.

Shuanglin Temple - Enjoy a local lunch before continuing to Shuanglin Temple, a significant Buddhist temple in Shanxi Province, China. Established in the 6th century, it is renowned for its collection of over 2,000 colorful clay statues, demonstrating the artisans’ exceptional skills from the Song, Yuan, Ming, and Qing Dynasties. It was inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site along with the Ancient City of Pingyao in 1997.

Xi’an - Later, you will be transported back to Pingyao Railway Station to catch your train back to Xi’an, departing at 6:18 pm. Your driver will meet you at Xi’an Railway Station and return you to your Xi’an hotel. If you opt to conclude the tour in Pingyao, you will be taken back to your hotel after the tour.
