Take an Overnight Train from Xi’an to Beijing

Railway Station Tunnel West Crossing - A friendly driver will pick you up at 6:45 p.m. from your Xi’an hotel and drive you approximately 20 minutes to Xi’an Railway Station to board your overnight train to Beijing. The driver will assist in obtaining your pre-purchased train tickets and guide you to the waiting room.

Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City, Hutong and Temple of Heaven (L)

Tiananmen Square (Tiananmen Guangchang) - Upon arrival, a local guide and driver will meet you at Beijing West Railway Station and take you to Tiananmen Square, located in the heart of Beijing. Covering 108.7 acres, it stretches 880 meters from north to south and 500 meters from east to west, accommodating up to half a million people.

Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - Next, visit the Forbidden City, the best-preserved imperial palace in China and the largest palace with 9,999.5 rooms. Its magnificent architecture embodies the pinnacle of traditional Chinese architectural achievement.

Back Lakes (Hou Hai) - After enjoying a delicious local lunch, continue to explore the Hutongs around Back Lakes, an old neighborhood in Beijing. You can choose to walk or take a rickshaw. Mutianyu Great Wall - Meet your guide and driver at your hotel lobby in the morning, and travel about 1.5 hours to the Mutianyu Great Wall, favored by travelers for its stunning scenery, fewer tourists, and beautifully restored architecture. You can opt for a cable car ride up and down or a chair lift up and toboggan down. Spend 2-3 hours hiking on the Wall.

Olympic Park - After a local dumpling lunch, proceed to the Olympic Park for a photo stop at the Beijing Olympic Stadium, where you can view the Bird’s Nest and Water Cube. End the day with a return transfer to your hotel (arranged independently).

Temple of Heaven - After morning pickup at your hotel, visit the 15th-century Temple of Heaven, the largest religious building in China. Originally used by the Ming and Qing emperors to honor heaven and pray for a bountiful harvest, locals now visit to practice Tai Chi, sing, and dance.

Lama Temple (Yonghegong) - Next, visit the Lama Temple, the most renowned Buddhist temple in Beijing. It is one of the largest and most influential in China, and was the only temple said to have survived the Cultural Revolution, reopening to the public in 1981.

Summer Palace (Yiheyuan) - After a local lunch, head to the Summer Palace in the afternoon. Once a summer retreat for emperors, this 716-acre park remains a haven for tourists seeking relaxation.
