• Shaanxi History Museum - This section is a new division of the Shaanxi History Museum, known as the Qin-Han part of the museum.

The museum primarily focuses on providing a comprehensive illustration and explanation of the importance of the Qin and Han dynasties in Chinese history. This helps visitors gain a deeper understanding of these two highly influential dynasties, and consequently, a better grasp of Chinese history.

Please be aware that the museum is closed on Tuesdays.

Located in the northern part of the city, visitors need to take the subway to reach the museum. Multiple transportation options are also available for convenient access.

Shaanxi History Museum Qin-Han Division is a great extension of the old provincial history museum. It’s sizable yet more systematic in showing a panoramic history about the Qin and Han dynasties.

Different with the history museum in the city center which shows a more vertical and chronological history of Shaanxi and Xi’an, the new museum exhibit a more literal and profound history of that two dynasties with a back ground of the world’s history.

Emperor’s mausoleums of the Qin & Han dynasties dotted and circled around the musuem, which will make you feel like that you are back to 2000 years ago.
