Beijing to Xi’an by Bullet Train – History, Food & Nightlights

Beijing West Railway Station - · 6:30 AM: A private driver will meet the operator in the lobby of their Beijing hotel and transfer them to Beijing West Railway Station.

Muslim Quarter - The English-speaking guide and driver will pick up the operator at the exit of the train station. After Xi’an train station pick-up, the English-speaking guide will show them around the city. They will visit the Muslim Quarter and try the local food for lunch. The Muslim Quarter is a famous food culture block in Xi’an. It has a long history of over a thousand years. It is not only an important tourist attraction but also the block with the most concentrated Xi’an specialty snacks. Food shops are numerous here, and there are nearly 300 kinds of special flavor snacks that are dazzling. It is a place where tourists and local residents linger and forget to return.

Xi’an Bell Tower - The bell tower is located in the center of Xi’an. It is the symbol building of Xi’an and was built in the year 1384.

Xi’an City Wall (Chengqiang) - This city wall, which has a history of over 600 years, is the only completely intact city wall remaining in China. Take a leisurely walk along the wall and experience how the past and present of this vibrant cultural city have come together. If the operator is good at cycling, they can also rent a bicycle and ride along the wall; the cost of renting the bicycle is at their own expense.

Big Wild Goose Pagoda (Dayanta) - The Big Wild Goose Pagoda is one of the symbols preserved in Chang’an City of the Tang Dynasty to this day. The existing stone inscriptions further confirm the history of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the spread of Buddhism on the Silk Road. The palm-leaf scriptures collected in the Big Wild Goose Pagoda are also extremely precious Buddhist cultural relics. Within the structure, a spiral staircase leads up to an overlook with a panoramic view of the city.

Grand Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City - The Grand Tang Dynasty Ever Bright City, also called Great Tang All Day Mall, with its exciting and lively atmosphere, is a must-visit attraction at night in Xi’an, to experience the city’s remarkable culture in its prosperous Tang Dynasty (618-907). Located south of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and west of the Tang Paradise, it’s a north-south pedestrian street about 1,500 meters long and 500 meters wide. When night falls and the street is brightly illuminated, visitors in traditional style costumes swarm into the street to view impressive night views and enjoy Tang-style performances.

Terracotta Warriors Museum; Terra-cotta Warriors Making; Xi’an to Beijing with bullet train

The Museum of Qin Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses - The Terracotta Warriors pits are burial pits for the Mausoleum of the First Qin Emperor. Three pits have been discovered and are numbered as Pit 1, Pit 2, and Pit 3. There are nearly 8,000 terracotta figures and horses in three pits, which are similar in size to real people and horses. The images of the terracotta figures are all different, and their expressions are vivid. It is a pearl in the history of ancient Chinese sculpture art and is known as “the eighth wonder of the world” and “one of the great archaeological discoveries of the 20th century.”

Beijing West Railway Station - Take the bullet train from Xi’an at 19:00 and arrive at Beijing West train station at 23:17. The driver will pick up the operator at Beijing West train station and drive them to their hotel.
