Amazing guide and food! - Xi'an has so many good foods to offer and this tour is the best way to experience it. Michael is such a nice guy and he could answer any question we threw at him. The Tuktuk made the whole tour very comfortable, we basically only had to eat. We highly recommend the tour!

Vegetarian Food Tour in Xi'An - We had contacted Michael Chang via e-mail, following a recommendation in the TripAdvisor Forum. Michael organized a three-hour food tour for us, which was absolutely amazing and a real highlight of our two-week trip in China. We liked all the places and dishes he chose for us, and even our teenage daughter (who had some initial concerns regarding Chinese food) had a wonderful time. The tuktuk rides through the city were a lot of fun, and Michael told us very interesting stories along the way. 100% recommended!

Jackie an amazing guide and unforgettable experience - The food tour with Jackie was amazing. Super chill guy, easy to talk to, and knew everything about Xi’an—from the big tourist spots to hidden local gems. He mixed it up perfectly so we got both the famous bites and the real-deal local flavors. Jackie had jokes the whole time too—just a good vibe all around. Riding through the city in a TukTuk with him made the experience feel way more authentic. Along the way, he broke down the history behind the ancient city walls and the Silk Road in a way that was actually interesting. Highly recommend—felt more like hanging out with a friend who knows the city inside out.

Wonderful Food Tour in Xi-an - I had a lovely evening on the food tour with Michael in Xi’an. Traveling by tuk-tuk added a fun and local touch to the experience. We visited several different spots where Michael shared the history of each place and the dishes we tasted. The variety of typical Xi’an food was fantastic — everything was delicious and full of flavor. Michael was a wonderful guide: knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. When it unexpectedly started to rain, he even bought me an umbrella to make sure I stayed comfortable — a small gesture that showed his genuine care. All in all, a truly enjoyable and memorable evening. Highly recommended!

Great food tour - The tour was great. Michael was out unguided and he made the whole experience unforgettable. He was very flexible on what we wanted and didn’t want., was knowledgeable and gave us information that enhanced the experience He took us to some very good places, for really good food. Later we went to other places with the same type of food but the places Michale took us too were by far the best. If you want to experience the best of the local food places I highly recommend this private tour.

If you love food like I do this is the perfect Tour to choose. - Our Tour guide showed us various Xi'an specialities which definitely should not be missed out on. I especially liked the Chinese Burger, the Barbeque in the Muslim Quarter and the Biang Biang noodles. Make sure to go hungry so you have space to eat more. It was a great idea to book this Tour on our first day so we knew exactly where to go for the other days we spend in Xi'an.

A must do tour when visiting Xi’an - Our tour guides name was Jackie and he was excellent. Took us on a morning tour through the markets and tried a variety of foods. Jackie did a great job at explaining and coordinating the tour and even helped us get a Didi car to our Terracotta Tour immediately afterwards. He customised the tour to our personal tastes and still allowed us to try local Xi’an cuisine. Thank you Jackie for the experience, highly recommend this tour if you visit Xi’an

Great night with lots of street food and local eateries - She had a great evening with Michael. He took us to several tiny restaurants and street food stands where we had a big variety of food. As vegetarians we sometimes had alternatives to the standard dishes. Delightful were the vegetable hotpot, the long, long noodles, the dried persimmons, veggie pocket, rice noodles with vinegar, etc. We went to several food markets, hence the tuktuk was handy and fun. On the food markets there were many stands where he explained what it was and how it was prepared. In addition to the food tour, Michael helped us to successfully reclaim an item that we had lost in the train. Definitely recommended for a great evening of tasting an exploring Xi’an!

Fun experience checking... - Fun experience checking out small local restaurants that would have been difficult to access by ourselves. Food was universally delicious. Michael, our guide, had a high level of English and was a great raconteur.

What a wonderful experiance! - My husband and I did the Tuktuk food tour with our guide Micheal. We had a wonderful time. Micheal was very knowledgeable; his English was great which was nice since our Chinese is very bad :) He shared a variety of history and delicious food. We went to places that we would not have ventured into. We also enjoyed riding on a Tuktuk, that was a lot of fun. I would recommend this tour and hopefully you get Micheal he was a pleasure to be with.
