• Bronze Statue of Chairman Mao - The Changsha Eguide and driver will collect guests from their centrally located hotel in Changsha city at 9:00 am. They will then drive to Shaoshan, the hometown of Chairman Mao, who led China from 1949 until his passing in 1976. Shaoshan is 104 kilometers from Changsha, the provincial capital, and is renowned as a “red tourism” site and a revolutionary sacred place. Covering 247 square kilometers and surrounded by mountains, the guide will lead a visit to Mao’s Former Residence, the Memorial Hall of Mao Zedong, and Mao Zedong Statue Square. Following this, there will be an opportunity to enjoy Mao’s Braised Pork for lunch.

Later, the tour proceeds to Dripping Water Cave, located about 3 km northwest of the village. This popular site is where, according to legend, Mao reflected on the Cultural Revolution in 1966. The journey concludes with a fast train back to Changsha, followed by a private car transfer back to the hotel upon arrival in Changsha city.
