- Gulou East Avenue - Experience Beijing’s traditional street food, such as Dalian Baked Bun, and Mongolian BBQ at two restaurants.
The history of Dalian Baked Bun dates back to the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. Often confused with pot stickers, Dalian Baked Bun has a distinct appearance. Pot stickers resemble the dumplings commonly eaten, while Dalian Baked Bun looks like the cloth bags Northern people used to carry to markets in the past. When made with softer dough, the bun droops at both ends when picked up with chopsticks, hence its name.
