Mmmmm food - This was awesome. Delicious food with lots of variety of local dishes to try. Our guide Max was great, with loads of knowledge as we walked around and very accomodating. Would definitely try another tour if we had more time.

Perfect Shanghai Food Tour! - Doris did a great job and guided us through five different places with really delicious food which is traditional Shanghainese. The group was open-minded and we all had a really great time together sharing our stories and tasting this delicious food. Doris brought us some insights on the food but also the neighborhood we went through with all the French influences. Thank you for this experience.

I can’t wait to book my next tour with Lost Plate! - Our guide was wonderful. We really enjoyed our tour. Joy was a perfect combination of fun, knowledgeable, cool and interesting. The time flew by. By the end of the tour she became a friend. I couldn’t ask for anything more. Oh! and the local restaurants were super yummy. Come hungry!

Lost Plates always wins! - We had a fabulous time with Emma exploring the french concession. Even though it wasn't my first time in Shanghai, or my first Lost Plates tour, it was my first time on this tour and we had so much fun, as always! Don't bother to look elsewhere, Lost Plates will make sure you have a fun evening and leave very full. My kids always look forward to one of their tours.

A really fun and tasty adventure - Really loved this experience! Loved the sharing of history through food and buildings as we strolled from place to place. I would definitely recommend this to anyone keen to try local cuisine, I will definitely be seeking out their other tours in other cities

Fun food and walking tour - Shanghai food tour with Emma was well worth it. She had a great wealth of knowledge on Shanghai, and it was a great informational tour as well as food tour.
The Shanghai food was great, dumplings, pork, soups, and a really great dessert. We had a small group of 3 guests, and it was very a social.

Good choice - An excellent food tour. Plenty of dishes to try, and it covered all of the Shanghai specials. Emma was both knowledgeable about the food and a tremendous facilitator of good conversation.

Highly recommended for insights into Shanghai’s food history and future. - We had an amazing evening in the company of Max Tang touring the French Concession. Max’s knowledge of the local cuisine and history provided a unique insight into Shanghai’s culture. We sampled some delicious dishes all specially chosen by Max, who explained the significance of the ingredients and also the different occasions dishes would be served at home.
We had such a great evening and would recommend it to anyone seeking a greater insight to Shanghai’s history and culture.

Fantastic food! Best local food in Shanghai! Great guide! Must do!! - Our guide Max took us to several interesting places. The food was outstanding! He told us all about the dishes. He gave us some history of the old part of the city with great photos. He went out his way to get us to the metro to see the lights on the Bund before they went out. He even had the desserts packed up to take with us because we had to leave early. Highly recommended!!
