Madeline Lake Territorial Park - Pick-up is scheduled between 9:00 PM and 9:30 PM. Travel along the Ingraham Trail, visiting several lakes while seeking clear skies for optimal Aurora viewing.

Prelude Lake Territorial Park - Stop at Prelude Lake, known as the darkest and most dependable spot for Aurora sightings in the area.

Yellowknife River Territorial Park Day Use Area - This is our initial stop.

Pontoon Lake Territorial Park - Pontoon Lake is among the darkest and most picturesque locations near Yellowknife (50–55 km east on the Ingraham Trail). It offers a vast open horizon, a perfectly reflective lake in late summer, and minimal light pollution.

This aurora adventure is tailored for travelers seeking maximum impact in minimal time. Over the course of just two nights, participants will pursue the Northern Lights across three of Yellowknife’s most renowned viewing spots—Prelude Lake, Pontoon Lake, and Hidden Lake. Each location provides a unique foreground, landscape, and sky perspective, offering a rare and varied collection of aurora memories that most visitors don’t experience in a single journey.

Unlike typical tours that remain in one location or follow crowded paths, this experience is crafted with insider expertise gained from years of guiding in Yellowknife. Participants will explore hidden vantage points that only local guides can safely access during winter conditions.

Small group sizes ensure greater mobility, flexibility, and the best opportunity to adapt to weather conditions. It also allows the guide to concentrate on capturing the perfect photos for participants at every stop.
