FRIENDLY, FUNNY STAFF - GREAT HOME BASE! - This is the second tour company that I went with to see the Aurora in Yellowknife. Jiguang clearly communicated their pick- up time via email based on visibility and access to clear skies. [Our pick-up time was 1000 PM and the drive to the base camp was approximately 10 minutes.] On the ride out, our multilingual tour guide, Daniel, was very clear in terms of what to expect and accommodated any/all questions. He's also comedic which helps! For this particular night, April 4th, we went to their homebase. It has several structures. The building has ample seating and tables with complimentary hot beverages and snacks. The bathroom was clean and well appointed. The highlight was the outside of the property featuring several viewing areas. There were two teepees lit up for pictures and one teepee with a heater and clear windows. This option allowed many of us to stay warm on the inside while viewing the Aurora on the outside. There was also a fireplace area where guests could roast marshmallows. An added bonus were the two photographers who were ensuring that all guests had camera time to capture their special moments with Aurora. Although I only had experienced two different companies, I enjoyed this property and the guides. [The other tour was a bus where we went lake to lake.] Viewing Aurora is complex yet we were fortunate enough to have a clear and active evening! I highly recommend Jiguang and hope you experience the Northern Lights in Yelliwknife.

Really good "camp Aurora " tour - Pick up was easy and punctual. This is a "camp" aurora tour, where you go to a building/campground to wait for the Aurora (vs chasing tour). They offer hot drinks and cookies, and there is a toilet. Outside there is a heated teepee and a bonfire. Photographer was excellent, although we had a hard time locating her to get our pictures made (she and almost everyone else was wearing a red CG coat). The lights were stunning, and I'm so glad we booked this tour. They did seem to cater to an Asian clientele (we were the only English speakers), but our guide Rae spoke perfect English, so communicating was never a problem.

The very best! - We were blessed with clear skies, a sliver of a moon, and amazing Auroras all night. Highly recommend this company! This tour company is top-notch. Very good communication, very attentive all through the evening. They provided a viewing teepee that was heated, a bonfire for warmth and roasting marshmallows, and a room at the house to get warm drinks and access to a restroom. They took professional photos as part of the package. A bit of advice: It is important to get appropriate cold weather gear. We rented ours locally and was able to be outside all night comfortably. Some in our group were not dressed for extreme cold, and they really struggled.

Unforgettable Aurora Experience with the Perfect Guide, Rey - This 'Aurora Tour' was truly an unforgettable and wonderful experience. Luckily, the weather was fantastic, allowing us to fully enjoy the breathtaking beauty of the auroras. Especially notable was our guide, Rey, who took professional-quality photos and provided very kind guidance throughout. Surprisingly, he spoke fluent Korean, which made us feel extremely comfortable during the tour. Thanks to him, I managed to capture some once-in-a-lifetime shots and create precious memories. This trip became even more special because of Rey. Thank you so much!

Excellent guided tour - The guide Jim was very helpful and he tried his best to make everyone happy. Even there had been just small almost invisible auroras.

Disinterested tour guide, star filled dark sky - Our tour guide, Mike, spoke almost completely in Chinese, probably because all the other people on the tour understood him. The tent area with the tepee had a cozy vibe. There was no aurora, I understand that this is not anything that anyone can control. We waited in one area, Lake Prosperous. The sky cleared and we got a star studded dark sky. The guide did not seem interested in going to other spots or explaining that maybe he knew that the chances of an aurora were slim. There was no effort at aurora chasing, contrary to what the description says.

they do thing on surface, kidding visitors - it is the worst of the 3 tours I joined, not the "best". they drove you to their camp, waiting and waiting, just wast time. Who care about your camp? they provide "cookie" and "hot chocoholic" at the camp as they advertised. But who care about that when people just had dinner and came from warm hotel. While during the cold trip, they had nothing to provide you.
