• Khor Virap - Khor Virap is an Armenian monastery established in 642, with its name translating to “deep hole” in Armenian. It is a revered site of the Armenian Apostolic Church and a popular pilgrimage destination. Notably, the monastery was constructed on the site of a former royal prison where Gregory the Illuminator, the patron saint and first official leader of the Armenian Apostolic Church, was imprisoned by the Armenian king for 13 years. The monastery offers a unique view of the biblical Mount Ararat.

• The Monastery of Geghard - Geghard Monastery is a remarkable example of medieval Armenian architecture. Known as a “cave monastery,” it is entirely carved out of a cave and was established in the 4th century AD at the site of a sacred spring. The name Geghard (meaning “spear”) is derived from the spear of Longinus, which pierced Jesus Christ’s body on the cross. This spear is currently housed in the Etchmiadzin museum. The Geghard Monastery complex is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
• Garni Temple - Constructed in the latter half of the 1st century by King Trdat III, the Garni Temple is the only surviving pagan temple in Armenia. Following the adoption of Christianity, it became the summer residence of Khosrovadukht, King Trdat III’s sister. An earthquake in 1679 destroyed the temple, scattering fragments of its elegant columns and wall stones. It is believed that the temple was dedicated to Mithra, the Sun God.
• Charent’s Arch - Situated near Yerevan, between the Garni pagan temple and the Geghard Christian monastery complex in the village of Vokhchaberd, Charents Arch may initially appear ordinary. However, upon approaching and stepping onto the platform inside the arch, the stunning panorama reveals itself as the perfect spot to admire the majestic and sacred Mount Ararat, offering a sense of unity with the mountain and the surrounding beauty.
