• Western Xia Imperial Tombs - The Western Xia Tombs serve as the royal burial sites for the emperors of the Western Xia Dynasty (1038-1227). These tombs are the most well-preserved cultural heritage sites representing the Tangut civilization, featuring the largest scale and highest rank. They include 9 imperial mausoleums, 254 subordinate tombs, a large architectural complex site, and over 10 brick-and-tile kiln sites. Numerous unearthed funerary objects and remaining cultural relics, such as inscriptions, stone statues, and building components, exhibit vivid shapes, unique decorations, and nomadic characteristics. They are listed as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites.
