Highly recommended! So much fun - Amazing experience on the York Bus Ghost tours! From the moment you board you are entertained by your host! Our 9 year old loved it as did we. Atmospheric, funny and lots of stories about the ghosts of York. Amazing value for 90 minutes and you also get to see a lot of York.

Yorks funniest and scariest bus tour - Brilliant journey around some of Yorks most iconic haunted sights. Incredibly immersive experience, John Doe (conductor) used a variety of audience members in his shows. John clearly knew what he was doing and you could clearly tell that he loved his job. Both John and Bob (driver) were very funny and there were some jumpscares. Would definitely recommend to any families with teens or above

Buckets of fun and laughter - Absolutely fantastic, Buckets of fun and laughter. The comedy just kept coming, from ghostly happenings on the bus, to a mischievous driver, a tour guide who matched my level of bonkerisms. My hubby was targeted which made his day, he was tickled pink. Well worth the money, we would definitely do it again.

The Only Bus Where Ghosts Don’t Need a Ticket - If you ever find yourself wandering the ancient, cobbled streets of York and think, “You know what this needs? A healthy dose of ghost stories, innuendos, and a bus that looks like it could audition for a Tim Burton film”—then this is your ride. We hopped on a pitch-black, old-fashioned double-decker bus that looked like it had driven straight out of a Victorian nightmare. Our conductor, Edgar Crand, was the perfect mix of creepy and hilarious—imagine a gothic stand-up comedian who knows way too much about York’s haunted history. His ghostly facts had us shivering one moment and snorting with laughter the next. (Though, to be fair, some of his innuendos went over the kids’ heads but landed perfectly for us grown-ups—10/10 for subtle adult humor!) Driver Bob deserves a BAFTA for his performance—his driving was so immersive, I swear I felt like we were being chased by angry Victorian spirits. He didn’t just drive the bus, he became part of the spooky experience. By the end, I was half expecting him to take off his hat and reveal he was a 300-year-old phantom. All in all, this tour was a perfect blend of spooky chills and cheeky giggles. Highly recommended for anyone who likes their ghost stories with a side of wit—and doesn’t mind sharing a bus with the occasional disembodied spirit.

Overall good. - The company were very hospitable, and accommodating with changing our time slot for the event, so for that we were grateful. The tour itself was funny in parts, not necessarily scary, but more informative about past events, people, and places. The bus, and it's props would probably take up most of the credit for the tour, as I feel it lacked substance, and was over quite quickly. We were scurried off the bus to see a landmark by the Shambles, but the route across the road was sudden, with other buses flying past, to the point where one of the people on the tour was nearly knocked down. Overall it was good, but not nearly as good as the dungeon tour, and could have lasted a little longer.

Highly Entertaining. - We were looking forward to this as the highlight of our break in York. We chose the 9pm tour, as it looked like it would be much better in the dark. There could be a few seats put in place, where the pick-up point is, as not everyone can stand for long periods of time. The old Route master and the tour itself were excellent and conductor/guide Phil, kept everyone informed and entertained. The route is much the same as the city sightseeing bus, with added ghosts and spirits of the non alcoholic kind. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, though from a personal perspective, I could have done without having to get off and walk across to the Shambles and stand around a bit more. Well worth the experience and good for the money.

Good for a school trip - More for school kids than for us mature adults! Very loud ghostly sound effects but not really scary. The guide and the driver tried their best to make us laugh. It was high energy.
