Beyond my expectations - Everything I wanted to know about Flanders was expertly provided by our tour leader Dieter. His knowledge on this horrendous time in WW1 is thorough and filled in the gaps of my knowledge. This was a pilgrimage to find the place my Grandfather fought at Menin Ridge in 1916 and I was grateful to be able to experience through his eyes how this war unfolded and the conditions our young men faced at that time. I am truly thankful my Grandad came home, albeit minus one leg, and met my Grandmother - Too many thousands of young men were not so lucky.

Our tour guide was very... - Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. Was a long day, we had 2 children (14 & 10) with us. A lot of sites to visit, but potentially could have visited less memorial sites & made it a shorter day. But would recommend

We Will Remember Them - A long day but a great day for history buffs and those wanting a reminder of the horrors and waste of life war causes! Last Post memorable/ we were lucky to have a choir as well- hard not to shed a tear or two! It is a long day so be prepared- if you don’t like getting on and off buses or late finishes give it a swerve but a 10/10 from me - thanks to Diedrich (sorry if wrong spelling) your knowledge was impressive! Stepping out the front line gave perspective and reassured the futility of war.
