Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park - As evening approaches, enjoy a light snack while watching the sun set, casting a spectrum of earthy hues over Uluru.

Uluru

Uluru - Start the day early to witness the sunrise at Uluru, as the sun illuminates the landmark like a beacon, before lighting up the surrounding area. A guide will lead you to a significant cultural site at Uluru, explaining Anangu rock art and sharing a creation story of the site. While the morning is cool, take the opportunity to enjoy a self-guided, full base walk of Uluru, experiencing the textures and valleys up close, which are not visible from a distance.

Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre - After lunch, consider purchasing some art at the Cultural Centre, crafted by local First Nation Peoples from the Western and Central Deserts.

Kings Canyon

Kings Canyon - The highlight of Watarrka National Park is undoubtedly Kings Canyon – a massive gorge surrounded by towering rock walls. Its porous sandstone, deep gullies, and hidden rock pools provide a habitat for over 600 species of native plants and animals. Your guide will highlight these on a trek through the canyon’s most renowned spots – the Lost City, the Garden of Eden, Amphitheatre, and the North & South Walls of the canyon.

Ayers Rock Resort Shopping Centre - This evening, choose from several optional activities: a Sunset Camel Cruise, the Field of Lights, Sounds of Silence, the Wintjiri Wiru Drone display; or enjoy the Uluru sunset from a different perspective at no cost.

Departure Day

Yulara - Depending on your departure schedule, opt for a complimentary 10-minute transfer directly to Yulara’s Desert Gardens Hotel or Uluru Airport (Ayers Rock Airport, airport code: AYQ). If you have extra time before your flight, you can leave your luggage at the Desert Gardens Hotel and enjoy shopping at Yulara Resort at your leisure. Please note: Regular free airport shuttles are available from the Desert Gardens Hotel to Ayers Rock Airport.
